I know several Iranians here in America. They have been wonderful, patriotic Americans.

Ditto. There is a large population of Americans of Iranian extraction here in the Bay Area. Lot of good folks!

One of my best buddies in HS was from Iran. His family fled Iran (they are Christians)when he was a kid (8 or 9).
Both of his parents were engineers, and told stories how much they were discriminated against in their personal/professional life.
By the time we were in HS he had the thickest east Texas accent; which was a pretty funny sight seeing an obviously middle-eastern guy with a southern drawl.
His younger sister was an absolute knockout, and was elected either the Homecoming Queen or Prom Queen (can't remember anymore) a few years after we graduated HS.
He and his family were more patriotic then most libs I meet here in Chicago. So much so, that his whole family became U.S. citizens at one time when we were in college. They threw a huge party that was attended by about 150 people.
His folks are about the nicest people you'd want to meet.
