Historically the LA Times has been very anti-union as far as their employees are concerned. In the early part of the century there were numerous riots by the employees and union thugs resulting in many deaths. I do not know if the paper's employees are unionized now. I am sure they were not prior to the Tribune buying the paper in 2000..

Gee, what do you want to bet it never occured to them that they've cut out half of their circulation by being so biased. A little balance would double thier readers. But NOOOOOOOO, they couldn't do that. I used to think they were fairly balanced (at least on the editorial page) until they went "all in" so to speak against Arnold, and thre recall effort a few years back. Wildly inaccurate polls, and last minute attempts to slime Arnie finnished them for good in my mind (and apparently the minds of other conservatives) as a legitimate source of unbiased news.
