You are all to blame (Omar Bakri Mohammed first comments on London bombings)
The Sun ^ | Wednesday, July 27, 2005 | By GEORGE PASCOE-WATSON

Posted on 07/20/2005 12:14:19 AM PDT by Eurotwit

TONY Blair was last night urged to deport Muslim fanatic Omar Bakri Mohammed after the cleric blamed the people of BRITAIN for London’s suicide murders. Twisted Bakri, 45, pinned responsibility for the al-Qaeda Tube and bus bombings on voters who re-elected the Prime Minister last May.

He said yesterday: “I blame the British government and I blame the British people. The British people did not make enough effort to stop its government committing atrocities in Iraq and Afghanistan.”

Syrian-born Bakri’s rant came as The Sun found a taped message in which he called on followers to “sacrifice their lives” and turn Britain into an Islamic state.

Last night furious critics urged the PM and Home Secretary Charles Clarke to boot out the vile preacher, who has issued a string of anti-West rants since he moved to Britain in 1986 after his expulsion from Saudi Arabia.

Bakri is protected by Human Rights laws. But Shadow defence minister Gerald Howarth said: “There should be no room for people like this in our country.”

Labour MP Andrew Dismore said: “His presence is not conducive to the public good.”

Last night the cleric’s sidekick Anjem Choudary said suicide bombings were justified.

He said: “Nobody has yet pointed the finger at Tony Blair for his nasty policies in Iraq. If they continue the same foreign policy, we can expect more of the same.”

Death of innocents ... London bus on which bomber killed 14

Bakri has raked in more than £275,000 in state handouts, claiming about £300-a-week income support. His rent is subsidised on his home in Edmonton, North London.

Yet the dad of seven lashed out at Britain yesterday in his first public statement since the London blasts killed 56 innocent civilians — including Muslims — 13 days ago.

He said: “I blame the British government and the British people. The Government has said, ‘You are with us or with terrorism’. I don’t think that is the way forward. The British people showed Tony Blair full support when they elected him again after he waged the latest Iraq war.”

Bakri recently declared on a website: “We’re going to incite people to do jihad (Holy War).” And he gloried in the killing of non-Muslims.

In the new message uncovered by The Sun and posted on an Islamic website two weeks ago, he urged followers to destroy “big buildings”.

He said: “We will conquer the White House. It will be no surprise that we will be in charge and Muslims will control the earth.”

He added: “Let your death occur in the battlefield. If you make yourself available to Jihad He will accept you as Shaheed (a martyr).”

Under Europe’s Human Rights Convention ministers say they can’t deport Bakri to Syria unless officials there guarantee he won’t be killed.

But Mr Clarke will today tell MPs he wants new powers to deal with radical clerics.

Yesterday Muslim chiefs who met the PM agreed to form a task force to root out extremists.

And Downing Street said new laws in the autumn will ban preachers encouraging terrorism.

Last night France vowed “zero tolerance” laws so hate-preachers can be deported. A spokesman said: “We must be far stricter.”

I first became aware of this cutcase in 2002, when he appeared in Norwegian media, claiming plans were well underway to turn Norway into an Islamic state. He shouldn't be deported, he should be shot.

Interesting that the Islamo-Fascists make no distinction between Iraq and Afghanistan.

THE Sun today demands that evil Muslim fanatic Sheik Omar Bakri Mohammed is booted out of Britain.

The poisonous cleric yesterday blamed the BRITISH PUBLIC for the al—Qaeda London bombings that left 56 dead.

Yet we can’t get rid of him at the moment because of absurd human rights laws we should never have signed up to.

So The Sun demands: Change those too.

Britain has given Bakri shelter and protection from persecution for 20 years. We give him a house. We give him benefits.

Yet he abuses the very refuge we give him to preach hatred of our country and way of life.

Bakri hates Britain. He says it is OUR fault Londoners were blown up by suicide bombers.

We look on in silent fury as he preaches revolting sermons calling on young British Muslims to join a holy war against our country. Yet although other nations ban him, we allow him to live in our midst.

So The Sun says to Tony Blair and Charles Clarke: Enough is enough. It is time to stop wringing our hands about “human rights”. We Brits have a human right — to life.

There IS a way we can get rid of Bakri and all the others like him.

We must tear up our membership of the European Convention on Human Rights. This stops us deporting radicals who say they’ll be tortured or executed if they return to their homelands.

Today the Home Secretary will promise MPs he’s beefing up his powers to act. Does he truly believe Middle Eastern rulers will take these fanatics off our hands?

After the London bombs, it is clear we are at war with a ruthless and sinister enemy. It is a war that could last for decades.

Any Home Secretary who flinches at the prospect of abusing human rights in wartime is not fit for the job.

How well do they think we'd be doing in Afghanistan if terrorists were still allowed to regroup and train in Iraq?

"Imam's fiery message speaks to radical British Muslims"
Seth Rosen, Special to The Chronicle
Sunday, July 17, 2005

ARTICLE SNIPPET: "London -- "Everything changed with the 19 magnificent terrorists of 9/11," thunders Sheikh Omar Bakri Mohammed. A raucous rejoinder of "Allah Akbar," or God is great, rings out from the more than 60 men who fill the Collingwood Hall community center on a Saturday night in East London.

The room is so crowded that some of the audience -- mainly young men under 25 -- must sit on the floor while others watch from the hallway.

Long before the deadly July 7 bombings in London, Bakri's detractors warned that behind the lurid sound bites and incendiary language was an extremist whose sermons might be interpreted by his followers as justification for terrorist attacks in Britain.

Bakri, the founder of al-Muhajiroun (the Emigrants), a radical group whose goal is the worldwide domination of Islam, held off his critics by saying that Muslims in Britain lived under a "covenant of security" that prevented them from bringing any harm to the nation that sheltered them. But in his Collingwood speech, he said the government had flouted the contract, and all bets were off.

"The British government is sitting on a box of dynamite, and they have the matches," he warned.

Though none of the suicide bombers has been linked to Bakri, his message of Islamic supremacy has reportedly inspired hundreds of young Britons to become holy warriors. In addition to London, he has preached in Leeds, where most of the London bombers lived, and in Luton, where police found a parked car carrying high explosives that they suspect was used by the bombmaker.

Under pressure from the government, Bakri dissolved al-Muhajiroun last October, but he continues to preach in community centers and parks. In the past year, his furor has been turned on the British government."

"...he called on followers to “sacrifice their lives” and turn Britain into an Islamic state...[sic]"

In the past we would have seen such kind of incitement as treasonous.

In a world ruled by "political correctness" it is called diversity and multiculturalism.

The enemy of the West is not terrorism or terrorists, it is ourselves.

"Imam's fiery message speaks to radical British Muslims"

I wrote this some time ago, and while I wish I could change what is said, I cannot retract a single word of it:

From my file, "Fire & Blood & Iron:"

The entire West ( dare I say "the civilized World?" ) is locked in a fight to the death with militant Islam.

There will be no second-place winner, no "third way" solution-- it is March or Die time, folks.

It is Us versus an eighth-century "culture" of plunder & pillage, forced religious "conversions," and the mistreatment of women.

The sooner we face up to this fact realistically and quit dancing around PC talking-point nonsense about diversity and tolerance, the better off we'll all be.

We did not pick this fight- which really has roots in Jimmy Carter's appeasement in 1979 of militants- but we had damned well better see it for what it is, and be prepared to face it and finish it.

I'll put it in raw, personal terms-- I don't want Sharia law visited upon my women, and I don't want a goat-roper "culture" infesting my land.

I don't want their vile, nasty, loathsome weapons of mass destruction loosed upon my fair country, either.

They picked the fight, and now it is up to us to finish it- balls to the wall, hammer and anvil, fire and blood and iron... freedom is never, ever free, and the coin you pay it in is men's lives and tears and blood.

What we saw during Gulf War I was our military doctrine ( high tech ) versus Soviet doctrine ( throw a lot of low tech iron at the problem )-- and we all know how that turned out.

What we saw in the 3-Week War is Information-Tech,
( What some are calling it Hyperwarfare... )
or 21st Century warfare versus 20th Century...

What I would suggest, and call your attention to, is the fact that we, and Israel, are capable of waging 21st Century warfare, and the entire Arab world is not.

Proven fact, by recent events.

One more thing- this will be a war where we are all called to be warriors- so I very strongly suggest to you that the time has come to get hard, and stay hard... it really is the time for Fire and Blood and Iron...

It's stupidy, hypocracy, and frankly, I suspect, cowardice.

I was discussing with MadIvan how Churchill was right to intern the Mosley's during the second world war. Churchill was right then, and it is absolutely scandalous that people like this are and have allowed to be roaming free on our streets. Heck, there might even be grounds for interning Griffin on the grounds of sedition, not due to his views on Islam, but on the grounds of his statements against Blair and the British war effort.

Thankfully, the government seems like it might be in the process of rectifying this. We will see what comes of it.

Cheers.
