Tribe: "If I Were On The Court, I Would Love To Have Him As A Colleague ..."

Forget it, I changed my mind. /jk

I saw some of these interviews in the post, and they are severely edited. But it doesn't matter.

Many of these comments are giving me flashbacks to 1987 and the nomination of Anthony Kennedy. I guess we'll see!

The confirmation should be a breeze.

It's more fun to read the Democat responses when you add "Damn It!" to the end of each sentence.

" By The Democrats I Speak To Who Were Fearing Someone Much More Conservative, Someone Without The Intellectual Or Capabilities As John Roberts Has Exemplified ..."

2nd time today I heard a quote like this. The implication is that the more Conservative you are, the stupider you are.

All you really need to know is that, according to Sean Hannity, staffers on the Hill reported that Schumer was visibly livid.

Ah.............life is good.

" The confirmation should be a breeze."

That would ruin half of our fun. Surely the Dems won't manage to avoid this trap.

They'll bicker a bit over Roe v Wade and that'll be it. Once Roberts gives a satisfactory non-answer (i.e., they accept he's not gonna trip up with anything substantive) then whatever suspense there is (none) will pretty much be over.

BTW, in light of the John Roberts nomination, here's my prediction on who will be the next Chief Justice: Priscilla Owen.

Brilliant pick by Pres. Bush.(!!)

Brilliant man, John Roberts.

Once again, Pres. Bush has been "mis-underestimated" by his political enemies and lessers.
