I'm told by my two teenage granddaughters that this is becoming quite common with their classmates in high school.
I find myself wondering if it isn't one of those new fads the kids are connecting with because of all the sympathetic ink that homosexuals are getting of late.
Nowadays, with society's warped sense of morals, it's a badge of honor and waaay cool.
Oh, this was done 10 years (yikes! Its been that long!) ago when I was in Middle School.
It was a cheap ploy for attention and as I recall most kids dropped it when it became played out.
I often wonder if a child like this knows the response they'll get before hand (such as: my parents are going to send me to a program for gays) and decide to "come out" as a form of rebellion.
I thought my teenage years were weird but kids today are pressured to grow up too fast. Its sad.
Sadly, you're right. I have a cousin who's still in high school, and she tells me that this is "rampant". "Gay Chic" is the latest fad.
Heck, if Television and the MSM make it seem so freakin' cool, then why are we surprised when this happens?
With kids, I've come to learn a very important truth that works wonders. More Scripture, Less TV. And it works! Imagine that!
