It's still a lie. All Cooper had to do was roll over and ask his wife.
I would bet cash money that is a lie. Everything I have seen this week says it was common knowledge who Plame worked for, and since Cooper is married to Mandy Grunwald, I do NOT think that he was ignorant of Valerie Plame's position.
It's not just that people don't trust the media, it's also about when the polls are taken, the way the questions are worded, and the tendency for people to respond with the "approved" answer -- theone they think the poller wants to hear.
I bet you're right. More people know which of the stars of Desperate Housewives got Emmy nominations. This is why the Dems can't get any traction.
hear hear from me too
I believe it was AP that ran with the headline (or opening line) that Rove "held" phone conversations with Cooper et al. , suggesting that Rove went out of his way to meet with reporters regarding Plame's status.
It's become tiresome and transparent. Time to resurrect the Sandy Burglar story.
Fred Barnes: Edith Brown Clement
Mara's Stand-in: Gonzales
Kristol: Edith Jones or Maura D. Corrigan
Juan: Gonzales
Brit: Gonzales
Not with Brit doing the interviewing over on FNC. I always enjoy a good Hume grilling of a leftist.
Russert and crowd probably get their marching orders straight from MoveOn.org and Ralph Neas just like Kennedy, Durbin and Schumer do.
Exactly!
Also the sign of a party that doesn't have any plans (regardless of how many John F Kerry said he had). The only 'plan' they have is bringing down the Admin and the Pubbies, and, by smearing Rove and trying to get him out of the WH they think they'll have the "brains" out of the Rep party out of the way. And, by continuing to harp about the Iraq war, they think they'll turn the country against the Admin.
All they want to do is attack Pres Bush, his administration and any Pubbie they can, and try to block any Bush or Pubbie legislation from passing and any judicial appointments from getting through. I think they think if they can do this until sometime next year a) Pres Bush will be a 'lame duck' Pres and not be able to get anything done, b) they'll pick up more seats in the 06 election and have a better chance of blocking and/or putting through changes on any Pubbie bills, and c) clear the way for Hitlery in 08, then they can put through what they want.
They are wrong on all counts.
They seem to be going for Gonzales then off to see mum see you all later
Fox panel names names for SCOTUS nominee:
Fred: Edity Brown Clement (says "not Gonzales")
Boston Lib lady: Gonzales
Kristol: Edith Jones, 1st choice. Maura D. Corrigan, 2nd.
Juan: Gonzales
Brit: reiterates Fred's "not Gonzales"
Interesting that both libs chose Gonzales. They just have no originality (does that come from being anti-originalists? LOL!)
Yes and I believe its time to tell him this anyone have his email address, home too? ha.
And goes to the point that it's not only the dems that are attempting to keep the Rove angle alive, but as conservatives defend him, it still taints him and makes him more known.
Give my regards to your dad and my hopes that he will be feeling better soon. His caregiver...you...needs some rest too.
Correction:
Brit said he "would go with Fred on Gonzales".
Fred said NOT Gonzales...Brit was agreeing with him.
(Granted, I had to rewind the tape and listen to that again myself. It was poorly worded.)
Bush said I won't pre-judge the outcome based on media reports. In other words, Bush said "I don't trust the media". That 's a good slap on their face.
Watching Chris Matthews show now - Fineman, Donaldson, Kay & Page on panel - did GWB use bad information to begin the war.......... headed for the Mallox (sp)
Specter says he's not going to get into recommending nominees for the SC and then goes ahead and does just that. He wants a politician, it seems.
