Documents Reveal Triumph By Muslim Brotherhood In Postwar Munich
A CIA Plan to Fight Soviets

The story of how the Brotherhood exported its creed to the heart of Europe highlights a recurring error by Western democracies. For decades, countries have tried to cut deals with political Islam -- backing it in order to defeat another enemy, especially communism. Most famously, the U.S. and its allies built up mujahadeen holy warriors in 1980s Afghanistan to fight the Soviet Union -- paving the way for the rise of Osama bin Laden, who quickly turned on his U.S. allies in the 1990s.

... But the U.S. lost its hold on the movement, and in short order conservative, arch-Catholic Bavaria had become host to a center of radical Islam. ... "If you want to understand the structure of political Islam, you have to look at what happened in Munich," says Stefan Meining, a Munich-based historian who is studying the Islamic center. "Munich is the origin of a network that now reaches around the world."

Political and social groups affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood now dominate organized Islamic life across a broad swath of Western Europe. These connections are frequently little known, even by the intelligence services and police agencies of these countries.

While these groups renounce terrorism and officially advocate assimilation, the upshot of their message is that Europe's Muslims -- now representing between 5% and 10% of the continent's population -- need to be walled off from Western culture. This in turn has helped create fertile ground for violent ideas. Islamic terrorists have increasingly used Europe as a launching pad for their attacks, from the Sept. 11 assault on the U.S. to last year's bombing of trains in Madrid.

I am so sick of these insipid discussions about Muslims. Enough talk...when are we going to rip these murderous fiends out of Europe and America and return them to their Mohammeddan borders? After 9/11 I was sure this would be the turning point and a final Crusades would finally defeat Islam once and for all. Instead we focused on girls going to school in Kabul, and blue fingers in Iraq. That's it? That's what our people died for? Where is the revenge? Why does Syria, Iran, Pakistan, Sudan and Saudi Arabia get off scot free? Why does Arafat's apprentice get $3 billion and all of our pressure to bear to weaken Israel? What the f**k is going on? Don't Bush and Blair realize the nature of our Muslim enemy and that they will NEVER stop, never mollify, never moderate in their goal of world domination and enslavement of the "infidel"?

All it took was one attack--less fatal than 9/11--in 1941 for FDR to throw every Japanese into camps. Whether you agree with that or not, could you imagine FDR instead visiting a Shinto shrine in S.F., wearing a kimono and saying how wonderful Japanese were? Insane, right? but that is exactly what we got after 9/11, and after 7/7 with Blair's nonsense about "peaceful Islam". what the hell is wrong with these people? When will we take the gloves off?

the followers of islams are told by imams (or whatever their leadership calls themselves) to 'wall' themselves off from mainstream society which they do...

the same followers are then told that mainstream society is corrupt by their 'leaders' which they, the followers, believe without question (don't forget, its how they're taught in islam)...

the followers are then told that mainstream society hates them, the followers, for no reason and wants to destroy them by any means available including sneak attacks, poisoning food or whatever that is ostensibly for 'aid' to the impoverished and etc...the followers believe this

the islamic leadership then cries out some crap like, 'oh, who will save us from the great satan?' -> and some goofballs, nincompoops, glory-seekers, misfits and others step up to the plate and say, 'ok'

don't get me wrong, islam is crap, but these 'followers' are definitely in the dark - a possible solution, which is pretty 'iff-ey' as to whether it would work or not, was on another thread and was a paraphrase of something Reagan once said about communism:

I have just signed legislation that outlaws islam...the bombing will begin in 5 minutes...

It is unfortunate that you lack awareness of where you are.
You seem to believe you are in a nation where the media is not totally opposed to the American way. You seem to believe that you are in a nation which has infinite military resources available to it. You seem to believe that you are in a nation whose oldest political party is more concerned about defeating its rival rather than the enemy of the nation.

And you seem to have no grasp of strategy or tactics and believe that radical hysteria is the way to go. If you believe that we can make enemies of a billion people and fight them at once then I suggest you need to get your mental problems addressed. Taking the gloves off only to put them over your head won't help much.

First of all, when people post stories from subscription sites like the WSJ they should state that it is a subscribers only article so the rest of us won't waste our time clicking on it.

Islamic terrorism in Europe has nothing to do with Naziism (indeed one thing you can say for certain is that had the Nazis won the war there would be no Islamo terrorism in Europe!), it has everything to do with the open borders practices and beliefs advocated by the WSJ for decades. Guess what, idiots, not everything is about money.

We have to continue to dicuss and educate for anything to be DONE. The vast majority don't have a clue as to how dangerous these assasins are. The assasins are the Muslim Brotherhoods murderers.
