Mounting evidence from many sources, including Pentagon documents, indicates that military interrogators at Guantanamo Bay have used aggressive counter-resistance measures in systematic fashion to pressure detainees to cooperate. These measures have reportedly included sleep deprivation, prolonged isolation, painful body positions, feigned suffocation, and beatings
Good! My understanding is that much valuable information is gained from these methods. Keep up the great work!!!

The laws of war defer to medical ethics. Doc. Does Al Quaeda know this?

"These measures have reportedly included sleep deprivation, prolonged isolation, painful body positions, feigned suffocation, and beatings. Other stress-inducing tactics have allegedly included sexual provocation and displays of contempt for Islamic symbols.1 The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and others charge that such tactics constitute cruel and inhuman treatment, even torture."Just do not make them wear panties on their heads.

People with NYC apartments suffer more torture (sleep depravation, lack of ac, extreme tempuratures, having to listen to loud music for long intervals) than do terrorists.

That opening paragraph is all Karl Rove needs to prove his point about the left's response to 9-11. These are not serious people, they are living in a dreamworld where actually trying to get answers out of a detainee is considered torture.
I bet if these same tactics were used on someone who threatened an abortion clinic these folks would be calling for an end to namby-pamby treatment of killers.
To: Axhandle
so inthis war-on-terror where information to prevent another terrorist attack is very critical, we should just sit around and play tic-tac-toe with these hardened murderers who've been trained ressist interrogations and to cry FOUL in the eyes of CNN, Al-Jazerra where no harm has been done to them?
And yet these same liberals (Kerry, Kennedy, Clinton & co) who has been cutting funding to the military & Intel Agencies for years were the first ones to Demand investigations after 9/11.
The DNC IS in bed with the terrorists by their relentless attacks on our efforts on getting infomation outta them.

Read about the sort of REAL torture used in most places in the world, and this sort of "torture" is laughable.
We did much worse to prisoners of war in WWII, in order to get them to talk, in order to save the lives of allied soldiers on the battlefield.
The Journal of New England Medicine didn't complain then. . .
To: Jersey Republican Biker Chick; Owl_Eagle
Heck, most of that stuff happens at my house on an infrequent basis, who can I sue?
To: Jersey Republican Biker Chick
Slayer? Damn, now you're taking me back to my high school days...
To: Sam's Army
You are not an enemy combatant, you cannot sue anyone.

Well, Metallica got mad when they found out their music was being used. So, they should use Slayer, cause Kerry King isn't going to care. I still listen to my Slayer disks, BTW.

This page from "US ARMY APPROVED PAINFUL BODY POSITIONS FOR INTERROGATION OF AL-QAEDA TERRORISTS HOUSED IN CUBA" gives an example of what those poor unfortunate members of "religion of peace" are suffering...
