I'm not so sure we'd have the gravitas for that. Israelis would, the west wouldn't.

Nukes have never been used to start a war....only to end one.

The same would be true the next time.

The last nuke exploded would end the war as quickly as it began.

First stop the ad hominem cr*p. If you can't have a discussion without losing your temper you lose the argument.

You should follow your own advice.

Second I don't care how long you've been following Iran if you don't know the facts and can't analyze them rationally.

I have been, you just refuse to listen to reason.

Yes, all Iranians except a handful of Mullahs are longing for liberal democracy and a secular state with religious freedom and tolerance for all.

I never said that. From what I understand of the situation, the "30 years old and younger" Iranians want the jerks (Mulahs), who have been making the life hard, out of powers. After that, it is up to debate as to what they want. Though after the Mulahs are deposed, I figure Iran may end up much like the country Turkey in which they will be a Muslim nation with western values.

"But Iran understandably fears Israel's second-strike capability."

I dont think they do.

If they can wipe out the Jews and Israel can respond and kill 100 million Muslims, there are still 900m muslims, but there are no Jews. Sounds like a good trade off to Iran.

""Obviously REFORM is a joke and not going to happen in Iran. So are options are limited""

hate to say it but I agree. Michael LEdeen and others have been overselling the willingness of the Iranian people to overthrow the govt.

For one thing there is no leader like Vaclav Havel or Lech Walensa.

I'm not worried about using MAD with Iran I am stating the fact that we can/will waste them if they play stupid.

OK, so let's say they can't take out the nukes themselves. Can they take out the missile launch facilities?

Israel's leadership has not been known for recklessness. You simply cannot say that about Iran or many other Middle Eastern countries.
