I don't mean to be cynical in the face of this terrible event. My thoughts and prayers are with the British people in general and the residents of London in particular. But I can't help but roll my eyes at the statements made by many of the "leaders" in Europe.
France will give Britain "immediate, full and complete collaboration" of French intelligence. Spain offers "unconditional help to chase the criminals who perpetrated such a repugnant attack." Germany will fight terrorism "with all the means at our disposal."
Gimme a break!
The Old Europeans are such a bunch of spineless hypocrites in this war, that there words sting my ears. If the reaction of Europe after 9/11 is any indication, they'll act like friends for a few weeks and then begin to attack the victims. Le Monde is probably already preparing tomorrow's front page with an expose on how today's bombings are a direct result of Britain's Imperial past.
In short, it won't be long until they have forgotten the passion of this moment and begin to defend the Religion of Peace and attack the West as the source of all evil in the world. Of course Air America won't be far behind.

France will give Britain "immediate, full and complete collaboration" of French intelligence. Which means about as much as donating one million dollars in Monopoly money...

World Stands With London After AttacksOddly, with the exception of Turkey, I don't see any mention of the Muslim world in this story.

That is
exactly what I thought when I read this. All the European leaders are such freakin hypocrites. Since this attack happened in their back yards, they are scared sh*tless.
They don't give sh*t about others but themselves.
We should have left Europe to die after WWII.

Why are the democrat leaders silent? No Kennedy, Pelosi. Biden, Reid, Durbin, Boxer, Schumer, Hillary, Leahy, etc., etc., etc.?

For sure! Where have I heard that quote before...ahhhh yeah, after 9-11 and look how the USA was treated by those same leaders in the UN...BS! The USA will stand behind England 100% along with Australia and those other countries fighting terrorism in Iraq! UNITED WE STAND!

Spain, bitterly familiar with terror after train bombings in Madrid killed 191 people last year, put its security forces on maximum alert This seems odd. Spain capitulated to Terror, why would they be in any danger now?

Where are they today? Working on talking points on how our Iraq policy is responsible for this.

As they should, but if I remember correctly, that's the same tune we heard here after 9/11. A few weeks later, that tune was much different.

Spain, bitterly familiar with terror after train bombings in Madrid killed 191 people last year, put its security forces on maximum alert, posting army and police units to watch over airports, train stations and shopping centers. Huh? But they pulled their troops out of Iraq! < end sarcasm >

You have a good point. What we're actually seeing is an attack on the "Anglosphere", which is the only hope for Western democratic values and civilization that's left.

Maybe we should inquire of Ted Kennedy, Nancy Pelosi, Barbara Boxer, John Kerry, et al, for comment:
