Reports that Scotland Yard had told Israel about possible terror attacks before the explosions took place. Not sure what that's about...just came across on Sky News.
Been living in London for a couple of years, but was living in CT just outside of NYC on 911 so this is a little eerie (and was growing up in LA during the '92 riots, so you can see I'm very lucky with these sorts of things). I was lucky today, tho, as I decided to work at home. I will post what I can based on what's airing on TV.
Sky saying police confirm at least six explosions in London (plus or including three on buses, I can't tell -- plus I think) ('picture still very confused' says the Metropolitan Police). They say all tube and bus services are suspended, but there are still buses going by my window however and they have passengers on them. It's 11:35am here.
One interesting thing is that Edgware Road was one of the stations affected. This is in the heart of normal, upscale, integrated and friendly Muslim neighborhood in West London. In other words, if you're looking for symbolism, it's a strange choice.
Bump to that report.
Huh? I hope Sky news explains further.
