let's hope. But I am not so sure. I am not sure that alot of Brits aren't simply going to say "if we hadn't gotten involved helping the US, they would not have attacked us here". does anyone know if that kind of sentiment is being pushed by the Britisih, or even the US, media yet?

All the lefite Brits who would be saying that are up at GlenEagles challenging the riot police today. They are probably stunned that their big media moment has been pre-empted by the attacks in London.

Not yet--but the "We're in Iraq, it's OUR fault" is playing live this AM on the radio.

Of course, Khobar and the Cole (not to mention WTC #1) all occurred LONG before we took out Saddam...

The Brits are different. Their traditional hawkish military propensity will reemerge, hopefully resembling the Fauklands in vigor and depth.
