No..just the word "brothers"
I'm reading the thread from the bottom up, so someone may have already posted this teaser from Drudge:
Senior Israeli official says Scotland Yard told Israel minutes before explosions it had received warnings of possible terror attacks...
nod. Still looking.
"Brothers?"
[What makes you think that the Iranians were involved?]
It doesn't matter. They're next. You defeat Islamism by democratizing country after country. This attack must be answered by at least one major regime change and it doesn't matter which one (actually, it matters to us to get the one with the most oil money still going to terror groups and that is Iran). After a while, they get the message: no more dictatorships. Unfortunately, we didn't do a regime change after the Madrid bombings. That guaranteed the London bombings. It is common sense. The left wing forced us to slow down the war until this happened. God help us if we remain in the "slowed down" mode.
But they destroyed them?
To our Brittish FRiends....the prayers of myself and my family are with you today.
Wow, Kilmeade on Fox just made the point that terrorism, not global warming, should have been at the top of the G8 agenda!
I heard a guy on FNC over there mention the Live 8 concert and the flood of people that were just in London and he wondered if people used that as a way to get into the city.
Did they have to lax security during the concert?
French-islamic Alliance??????
Good luck. Try to stay safe.
If they were able to recover a couple of unexploded bombs (UXB's) Scotland Yard might be able to start identifying the people behind it. The type of explosive and detonator used could identify if the bomb was built to something from an al-Qaeda manual.
Out of morbid interest, I think the death toll could exceed 200 based on the complete destruction of three double-decker buses and the subway station damage.
NOTE: THIS PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT WAS ISSUED MARCH 8, 2005 AND IS STILL CURRENT. FYI.

PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT
U.S. DEPARTMENT OF STATE
Office of the Spokesman
This information is current as of today, Thu Jul 07 2005 03:56:48 GMT-0700.
Worldwide Caution
March 08, 2005
This Public Announcement is being updated to remind U.S. citizens of the continuing threat of terrorist actions and anti-American violence against U.S. citizens and interests overseas. This supersedes the Worldwide Caution dated September 10, 2004 and expires on September 7, 2005.
The Department of State is deeply concerned about the continued threat of terrorist attacks against U.S. citizens and interests abroad, as well as the potential for demonstrations and violent actions against U.S. citizens and interests overseas. U.S. citizens are reminded that demonstrations and rioting can occur at any time. In reaction to the execution of hostages in Iraq, there have been demonstrations and associated violence in the hostages' country of origin. While Americans are generally not the targets in such incidents, U.S. citizens could be caught up in the violence. U.S. citizens are reminded to maintain a high level of vigilance and to take appropriate steps to increase their security awareness.
The Department of State remains concerned by indications that al-Qaida and affiliated groups continue to prepare to strike U.S. interests abroad. Al-Qaida and its associated organizations have struck in Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East. Future al-Qaida attacks could possibly involve non-conventional weapons such as chemical or biological agents as well as conventional weapons of terror, to include explosive devices.
Terrorist actions may include, but are not limited to assassinations, hijackings, bombings or kidnappings. These may involve aviation and other transportation and maritime interests. Terrorists do not distinguish between official and civilian targets. These may include facilities where U.S. citizens and other foreigners congregate or visit, including residential areas, business offices, clubs, restaurants, places of worship, schools, hotels and public areas. U.S. citizens are encouraged to maintain a high level of vigilance and to take appropriate steps to increase their security awareness.
U.S. Government facilities worldwide remain at a heightened state of alert. These facilities may temporarily close or suspend public services from time to time to assess their security posture. In those instances, U.S. embassies and consulates will make every effort to provide emergency services to U.S. citizens. Americans abroad are urged to monitor the local news and maintain contact with the nearest U.S. embassy or consulate.
As the Department continues to develop information on any potential security threats to U.S. citizens overseas, it shares credible threat information through its consular information program documents, available on the Internet at http://travel.state.gov. In addition to information on the Internet, travelers may obtain up-to-date information on security conditions by calling 1-888-407-4747 toll-free in the U.S. or outside the U.S. and Canada on a regular toll line at 1-202-501-4444.
I hear you loud and clear. This calls for unity, not criticism of our leaders, they are not the cause of this the Islamofacisits are and I am tired of hearing people bash Bush and Blair!
Giving up some liberty does not ensure security.
Good point!
These areas all have surveillance cameras, especially Kings Cross (used to be a drugs/prostitution hotspot and has lots)
