We know they've wanted to hit Britain for a long time.

It was the other way around, Israel told Scotland Yard about some intelligence not long before the attacks.

I don't think they'd do that. Baseball is an all-American sport.

Given this system in place Scotland Yard might be able to piece together who is responsible within a matter of days.I hope so.
I wouldn't put it above the possibility that al-Qaeda worked with local Lefty anarchists to pull this off.
Really? Would AQ trust nonMuslims? Maybe so. I hadn't thought of that.

I suspect the attacks are related to the trial of Abu Hamza which opened in London yesterday. That raises the possibility that the so-called Real IRA may have worked with a group inside London's fairly large Muslim community to pull it off. I wouldn't be surprised at all if the Real IRA did this to exactly match the standard al-Qaeda modus operandi so they can't finger the Irish terrorists behind this.

Post from DU: "It is particular barbaric on a day when people are meeting to try and solve the world's problems"These people just don't get it and never will understand that being "nice" or "caring" will not stop evil. Only bullets and bombs stop evil.

GOOD. That's my take too. AQ.
