I resolved a few years ago to stop putting my money into the pockets of liberal Hollywood types.

I did the same.

I refuse to support an industry committed to insulting me with their product. I refuse to support court jesters who think they're kings.

I resent the banality of movies that show endless Hollywood lounge lizards and lowlifes in Ancient Rome, in the Middle ages, in middle America, in almost every movie they put out.

We "get" the people who don't want to follow the rules, the woman as slut, the female teenager as brilliant, the teenage boy as geek, the adult man as eternal teenager, the kids as smart, the husband as stupid and the wife as fool. It's not original, not charming and not worth the price of a ticket.

Oh yeah, and the villains. The villains are the opposite of those in the red states. Hollywood hates the person who might stop their exploitive antics. Therefore the policeman is a villain and the thug is a hero. The person in the military is sadistic and the gang member is wise. The whore/slut is charming, the wife is a drag. The teacher is the one who cares about the child and the father isn't. In the real world, it's the exact opposite. It's stupid. Brain numbingly stupid. Self-serving narcissistic painfully stupid.

Sounds to me like you may have read Ben Shapiro's new book...or at least if you haven't, go give it a look-see.

...Of course your post is spot-on, not to mention the outrageous prices you have to pay to sit in any first-run theatre...since I have the privilege of being a military veteran, I go to watch movies for free on base.

I almost forgot to mention... it needs to extent beyong Hollywood Movies to people like Brittney Spears strutting around in Uggs with her bare pregnant belly sticking out.... just the *perfect* roll model for today's young teens (not)... how many adults we observed this past holiday weekend coming in on boats with young children aboard and the ADULTS playing rap music...

As far as I'm concerned unless a sport involves personal challenges (aka Golf, racing, etc.) they are not getting my attention, same for the music industry and the movie industry and television industry...

People like Oprah pitching a fit because Hermes' wouldn't open after hours so she could buy a watch for Tina Turner; then making a big deal out of it on top of her expensive *all black guests with everyone but *O* dressed in black... well her *fame* has gone to her head and that dear Oprah your ego means I will tune out.
