IIRC her friends from school have basically acknowledged that there was a lot of drinking going on, and drugs are very easy to come by in Aruba.

All the good parenting, education and money simply cannot replace common sense. Some of the most unfortunately brought up, uneducated and poor women/girls in the world DO have common sense.
I feel so very sorry for her parents and siblings.
