Now that we need a new Supreme Court Justice, we are left with but one option.
Vote Pedro for Supreme Court Justice!
Because quoting Napoleon Dynamite makes us witty and original.

Well, there's no hiding now. President Bush's true colors will soon be shown. If he blows the nomination (or the GOP senators blow the
confirmation) the true conservatives of the country will never forgive him
and will turn their back on him for the next three years of his
administration.

O'Connor's appointment in 1981 by President Ronald Reagan, quickly confirmed by the Senate, ended 191 years of male exclusivity on the high court.

Which only goes to show that women can screw up the Framer's intent of The Constitution as well as men can.

I am so glad to hear this. I hope that I hear of about five (5) more.

We know what this guy "wanted to do" about abortion. Quote Unquote

Let us see what this guy attempts to do about abortion.

This is too easy to predict. The Dems will never, EVER allow Bush to replace her with someone fair-minded. Her seat will go unfilled until a recess appointment in 2007. Until then, an eight justice, 4-4 court will fail to overturn most cases brought before it. As more justices retire, the court will become one of recess-appointed justices (unless the Senate gets 60 reliable Repubs).

This is going to be one ugly fight!
With Rehnquist, the replacement probably would be the same, in the eyes of the opposition. With O'Connor, the opposition will see any Bush nominee as more conservative than her. Replacing O'Connor with an actual conservative will result in a real shift in the balance of the court...the left will not stand for it. This will be nasty.

...and Renquist, soon too; time to stick it in the RAT DUmmies and slowly, agonizingly twist and shred with the likes of Judge Roy Moore and more of that ilk!

First Sandra was more conservative than many people realize, she was one of the four on the correct side in the recent Kelo case. I don't think it will be Al, but it will be a hispanic, I think it will be this Judge Garza, from what I have read he isn't super conservative, but the thinking is he is more conservative than Sandra D. or Al

We're all gonna die!!!

AAAAHHH!!!

Given the President's support for internationalist treaties like CAFTA, LOST, for the Open Borders lobby, for CFR, and his tacit support for renewing the AWB if it should come across his desk... I can make a prediction where this will go, and I have the feeling many of us are going to be very dissapointed.

Bye bye soverignty!

It's going to be a very hot July/August in the political world. Get ready for nastiness like we've never before seen. This could be worse than the '04 election when this really gets going, of course everyone will be nice at the start of this process.

Grab some popcorn, this is gonna be good.

Can't wait til the media starts campaigning for a "moderate" to "bring balance" to the court. Maybe they'll even suggest John McCain.

I called the President's White House Comment line at (202) 456-1111, managed to get a hold of a real live person, and said,
"Since the President is sincere in calling for 'The Ownership Society,' then he darn well better nominate a Supreme Court justice who will STAND UP FOR PRIVATE PROPERTY RIGHTS and vote to OVERTURN KELO!"
PLEASE DO THE SAME.
