The liberal press and its political allies are upset with Karl Rove. The president's key adviser said recently that liberals responded to the terrorist attacks of September 11 with calls for two things: Better understanding of why these enemies attacked us, and calling the police with indictments in hand to apprehend the terrorists and their terror masters.
Was Mr. Rove out of line? Remarkably, he probably understated the case. On Nov. 10, 1998, former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright was asked what we should do about the declaration of war by Osama bin Laden against the United States. A properly executed indictment, she said. About as useful as indicting Emperor Hirohito the day after Pearl Harbor.
Fast forward to January 2004, when current Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean was asked how we should deal with bin Laden. Mr. Dean explained we shouldn't prejudge the issue until a jury had rendered a verdict at the end of a criminal trial. As Andrew McCarthy, who led the prosecution of Sheik Omar Abdel Rahman for the plot to blow up New York landmarks, has said, rather than respond with vigorous force to protect the homeland, the liberal response was to "swaddle terrorists in the rights of American criminal defendants." (Is anyone now surprised that the same liberals want to extend these rights to the battlefield-caught prisoners at Gitmo?)
At the same time, and not to be outdone, former President Jimmy Carter called upon the world community to "not make moral judgments" about terrorists and to identify with the "values of moral..." |

Good Article, thanks for Posting it.
We as Conservatives have to keep up the message that we need to be on the offensive and to keep it up until the terrorist have been all killed or captured. I vote for killed since there is not a good record for conversion..
I hope president Bush delivers a strong message tonight and does not pander to the left. Lets get tough on Terrorism.
When the going gets tough the tough gets going should he his message...

Great find, thanks for posting. While he doesn't point out that Rove was talking about "liberals" and it was a bunch of "moderate" Democrats who got their panties in a bunch, he does point out why Iraq is part of the war on terror.

The Party of Terrorist Rights doesn't much like anyone pointing out the obvious. Their subversion is always painted in rosy colors.
Liberals' main purpose is to paint lipstick on the pig of socialist tyranny and sell it as freedom.

So, when the libs are confronted by terrorists, they can cry , "Hey, I'm on your side!!"

Nailed It! This ping list is not author-specific for articles I'd like to share. Some for perfect moral clarity, some for provocative thoughts; or simply interesting articles I'd hate to miss myself. (I don't have to agree with the author 100% to feel the need to share an article.) I will try not to abuse the ping list and not to annoy you too much, but on some days there is more of good stuff that is worthy attention. You can see the list of articles I pinged to lately on my page.
Besides this one, I keep separate PING lists for my favorite authors Victor Davis Hanson, Orson Scott Card, David Warren and Lee Harris (sometimes). You are welcome in or out, just freepmail me (and note which PING list you are talking about).

From time to time, Ill ping on noteworthy articles about politics, foreign and military affairs. FReepmail me if you want on or off my list. I thought the above piece was a nice expansion of Rove's comments.
To Catch a Thief
I think the author of that piece unwittingly made the case for the concealed carrying of firearms, and I told him as much in an email.

Liberals don't view terrorism as a problem, they view it as a tactic for socialist political movements.
Liberals have mainstreamed their own terrorists, Angela Davis has tenure at Berkley, Mummia is not a cop killer but a political prisoner.
Liberals believe that all terrorism has socialism as it's end rather than killing infidels and establishing sharia everywhere.

Thanks.
We can say and post things that Karl Rove can't say, and it is past time to label these left wingers as pro Jihadist Terrorists.

former President Jimmy Carter called upon the world community to "not make moral judgments" about terrorists and to identify with the "values of moral neutrality and pacifism." And what should be the proper response to the attacks of terrorists against America and her allies? "Go the negotiating table, not the battlefield."
More proof that liberalism is a mental disorder. I love Rush's Democrat party motto (I haven't heard it in awhile) - The only thing we have to offer is rear itself.
