No, I'm not saying they have the same value, only that the value for either is greater than zero.
Another cop shooting a dog story. What the h$ll is it with cops shooting dogs???
Nice - sneak on the property, so you can shoot the guard dog dead. (Sure beats giving them a phone call, or even ringing the doorbell.) Any compensation or even an apology from the police?
Because they can.
There is no excuse for this kind of thing.
Clicked your link. Beautiful animal.
Well, you are right about that. Of all the incidents of this happening, I've yet to hear of a cop being fired for it. The case a couple of years ago here in TN on I-40 had video of the entire thing, and the cop summarily executed the dog with no sign of aggression, and put the lives of all the people there in danger by nearly causing a collision of passing traffic to boot. It was all swept under the rug, and the cop is still employed. It was also his second or third canine victim if memory serves.
Max Schmelling?
Oh, I've heard of one.
Richland County deputy fired after shooting sheriff's dog
"A Richland County deputy has been fired by Sheriff Leon Lott after he shot and killed the sheriff's dog while checking on his house."
The shooting was the latest of several incidents where deputy Ricky Sirois showed "poor judgment," Lott said Thursday from a family vacation at the beach.
"If he had done to anybody's dog what he did to mine, the same thing would have happened," (Sheriff) Lott said."
Suuuure. Isn't that special.
Ok, ok, so I was wrong. A cop shoots his boss' dog and he gets canned. I stand corrected, sir. ;>))
When Hooch gets better take him down to the PD and let him sh*t on the carpet.
Rule 1. Read the article carefully and comprehend all parts of it:
He was a fighting reject. He wouldn't fight," said Schogren.
Rule 2. Add a comment that makes sense based on the material comprehended while executing rule one.
... and don't forget to feed him plenty of prunes first.
You left out rule three.
Expect supporters of fighting dog breeds and cop haters to engage in personal attacks, rather than discussion on the merits.
So before shooting, the cop should check to see if the dog has teeth or is arthritic? I don't think so.
If it was an officer that did not know, and the officer perceived that the dog was a threat, yes, it does.
If it was an officer that did not know, and the officer perceived that the dog was a threat, yes, it does.
Have you ever seen a dog with arthritis? Especially one that some days cannot even stand up? This "cop" could've walked back to his cruiser before the dog even was able to begin moving his legs.
My estimate: This sorry excuse for a cop saw the dog, thought it was a pit bull and just shot it. The dog may have been standing there giving him a little growl and showing that one last fang.
Welcome to the new world order.
