People also know that Congress approved this war, that these are our own sons and daughters they sent to fight this war, and that now the Democrats in Congress are undermining them while they are on the front lines of this war. Also the cost of the war and the federal deficit have people very concerned, but the fact is the US economy is strong, despite the efforts of Russia, China, EU, OPEC.

The Democrats and anti-Americans in this war seem to be angling for an eventual replay of the fall of Saigon. They seem to forget that many of the people who vote understand that and I think it represents a rotten plank in the already weakened political platform that the Democrats are standing on.

The assumption Barnes makes is that the Democrat's position is contrived to win elections. Naw. What they really want is to bring down the Republic and construct their own socialist edifice on the ruins. Our national security institutions are an impediment to their project, and must be reduced. I have confidence in about 1/3 of the voters of the country to do the right thing; I understand that about 1/3 are hard-core America haters who would love nothing more than see a Communist government, wit no private property rights, and no free speech. (this is the Democrat base). I have lost confidence in the other 1/3, those who are the soft middle and who are basically squishes, might go one way, might go the other. So, basically whenever there is an election, the Demonrats will have a chance as you just cannot trust the middle 1/3 to do the right thing. They are why the Demonrats are even around anymore. The Dims should have died a quiet unlamented death as a political party many years ago.
