The young Muslim men, with beards and bullhorns, work the streets of Jackson Heights on the weekends. They surface at parades and protests around the city, loudly declaring America the enemy and advocating for an Islamic state. Several weeks ago, they publicly tore up an American flag as payback for the reported desecration of the Koran at Guantánamo Bay, Cuba. Their own videos of violence against Muslims, one with the title "Muslim Massacres," have recently appeared on Queens Public Television.

If you hate America, what are you here for? I have some advice:
"DON'T LET THE DOOR HIT YA IN THE A$$ ON THE WAY OUT!!!"

OK, so let's deport these people. We are at war, aren't we?
And if they are citizens, then let's incarcerate them and charge them. (What would have happened during WWII if a citizen had been parading around and saying America was the
enemy?)
FDR had no qualms about incarcerating thousands of innocent people, for no other reason that that they were born of Japanese descent.
Now, we have actual disloyal people roaming the streets
and getting their propaganda put on public TV.
They're here to conquer it.
Our country has gone stark raving mad.
I can remember when Jackson Hgts. was a good, safe, up-scale neighborhood. Time has not been kind to Queens.

Has anybody asked these worthless "peace-loving" people why they are here? Besides the obvious monetary and materialistic reasons.
I also think citizens should be free under those circumstances to "share our differing opinion" with them. Tearing up our flag is the equivalent of "fighting words."

These people of peace can get to hell out of the country and if they need some help, so be it!

That's backed up to Jackson Heights.

We choose not to enforce hate crime laws when committed by Muslims!! Now who said that??
Destroying the flag ought to be akin to "mishandling" Korans.
But only right-wing extremists are interested in the flag, right? Basically, anyone from anywhere can come here and defile the long-standing symbols that are important to Americans as freedom of expression.
But if any American returns the favor, it's likely a hate crime.
This country's just nucking futs. I wish I knew the cure.
I'm beginning to long for the good old days when folks like this met up with small town justice and the sheriff discreetly looked the other way.
why is burning or tearing up the U.S. flag considered free speech, but doing the same thing to a rainbow gay pride flag would be hate speech?
why not include desecrating the U.S. flag as hate speech?
