Many people on this board very much wanted to involve the government, at all levels, in this "personal" matter. Some wanted to call out the National Guard to storm the hospital!
This was not euthanasia, state sponsored or otherwise. This was the judicial system enforcing the state constitution, allowing a person to refuse medical treatment. Period.
You may argue that this wasn't Terri's wish. Fine. You may argue that a feeding tube isn't medical treatment. Fine.
But for those of us who agree with the judge's decision, they were.
You seem to be having trouble finding the actual verbage of Judge Greer's death order. Here is the relevant portion. Could you please point out for me the portion that discusses medical treatment or its removal?

CIRCUIT JUDGE
Of course it was euthanasia. The woman was not dying. She was put to death.
IF this was not state sponsored killing, then you're blind, deaf, and have no capacity to really understand human love... unless it's convenient. This was Euthanasia. And besides, as the pro-kill-terri crowd says 'it happens every day all over the world' Well hip hip hooray let's have a party celebrating freedom.
I simply cannot understand how anyone in their right mind can defend what was done to her.
