I think it is time to come up with wording for a petition to demand official censure of Durbin.

You are right. This is all about embarrassing and/or "bringing down" the Bush administration.

Conyers, also of Michigan (what's in the water there?!) was on C-Span this a.m. making the most outrageous implications from the "Downing Street Memos" and in fact out-right lying about certain "facts". But Conyers' conduct pales in comparison to Durbin's.

I can only hope people from Washington D.C. to Washington state will finally start to recognize exactly how egregious some of this behavior is, how wide-spread the damage they're doing is, and how lacking in honor or integrity some of these people like Durbin and Conyers have become.

Durbin in particularly should be sanctioned by his fellow Senators, and IMHO, impeached (can they do that?) or recalled...

I sent an e-mail to Durbin telling him that now that he's a poster boy for the Arabs the people of Illinois should be ashamed of him.
They should get on his aXX.
Dems like him, Kennedy, Dean, Biden, Kerry, Byrd, Peloise, Leahy, Conyers want power so much that they'd sell out the country.
They're all Socialist or Communists. Same with most of the Black Caucus

Durbin's outrageous slander of our military, picked up by al-Jazeera and broadcast to our enemies around the world, puts lie to the claim of Democrats that they are concerned about anti-Americanism, our "image" abroad and our soldiers killed.

A soldier wrote to NRO media blog that he had heard that some soldiers in Iraq want to sign a petition, that they heard about, asking that no Ted Koppels, Michael Moores, or any despicable groups or politicos be able to use their names upon their deaths to diss their country, their President or the war effort.

He wanted NRO to ask around for that petition. NRO said they would ask the blog community.

Has anyone here heard of this. How sad that our guys would even have to be thinking this way!

Rush just called attention to this. He stated taht Al Jazeera praised Durbin.

I thought the Al Jazeera article was more evenhanded than most of our media, of course that was the english version I read.

IMHO Durbin and his ilk are willing to destroy this country to try to gain advantage in the next election.

They are willing to incite the terrorist with false stories just to earn campaign donations from Soros, Moveon.org, and other socialist agenda organizations.
