You were, kind of. Your comment, even in agreement, is worded to sound as if the movement ended with Vietnam. It didn't. It is still active.
Today they are mostly subtler about it, though. You won't see Fonda or Kerry chanting "two, four, six, eight, organize and smash the state!". They have complicated "third way" rationalizations and socialist double speak now to make themselves more acceptable. Who knows, though, they might even still believe in "the revolution". Neither is very bright.
It is shocking that self-styled communist revolutionaries are quite welcome in the current Democratic party.
