The three "persons of interest" have been arrested overnight says Natalee's family spokesperson per Fox News...
I don't think I was ever in the Holiday Inn, but the hotels I did venture into had security cameras everywhere. Particularly those that had casinos, and I think the Holiday Inn does.
Authorities have not said Holloway was a victim of foul play and have not ruled out any possibilities, including that Holloway may have drowned, Aruba Attorney General Caren Janssen said Tuesday. Two divers among the eight FBI agents in Aruba have been searching the waters surrounding the island, police spokesman Edwin Comemencia said.

Investigators searched the suspects' homes and impounded three vehicles, carrying away bags of items, but said they had not found any of Holloway's belongings.
Authorities have declined to comment whether the suspects had a relationship with the three other men, earlier described as students two Surinamese and a native of the Netherlands who told police they dropped off Holloway at her hotel around 2 a.m. on May 30. Hotel employees, however, say that security cameras did not record her return.
The night she disappeared, Holloway went to a beach concert and then ate and danced at Carlos' n Charlie's bar and restaurant.

It was not clear if Holloway had been drinking the night of her disappearance, though her relatives say she does not party much.
I heard that this morning. I hope the Arubans find the right suspects. The families of the two men picked up earlier were on the air and most understandably, very distraught. Race may be an issue here. Keeping an open mind and sending prayers for the innocent, especially the Holloways.

Allegro Aruba Resort's Statement Conflicts With Eyewitness Press Report
Breaking News by Dan Riehl
A press release issued today by Occidental's Allegro Aruba Resort appears to be contradicted by a previously reported eyewitness account by an employee at MSNBC.
Today Occidental Hotels & Resorts' Allegro Aruba Resort issued a statement through Business Wire claiming that contrary to several press reports, murder and kidnapping suspects Nick John, 30, and Abraham Jones, 28, are not employees.
MIAMI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 7, 2005--The following is a statement by Allegro Aruba Resort: Reports that the two men arrested in the search for Natalee Holloway in Aruba are employees of the Allegro Aruba Resort are erroneous and false.
In fact, the resort has been closed for complete renovation since May 1, 2005, and is scheduled to reopen later this year. It is possible that these two individuals in question worked for the security company hired by the construction firm to provide security for the site. The two men were not employees of the hotel and statements attributing that are incorrect.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Natalee Holloway and her family.

However, that appears to directly contradict the on air statements of MSNBC's Mike Tirone, a Scarborough Country producer as televised on June 7th.
Scarborough Country senior producer Mike Tirone just came back from a vacation in Aruba and coincidentally stayed at the same hotel where one of the suspects in the Natalee Holloway case worked as a security guard. The guards worked at Hotel Allegro, near the Holiday Inn where Holloway was staying. A lawyer for one of the men said neither of the men were working the night Holloway disappeared.
Mike Tirone: Joe, we were in Aruba at the Allegra resort for about 10 days. We interacted with this security guard. He was high-fiving my 7-year-old son. We had -- we saw him on a daily occurrence every day. I would take a jog and talk to him.
He was a really nice guy. He had a lot of charisma. He was a fun guy. He went out of his way to help people. And I was very surprised. I almost fell out of my chair when I saw the AP and MSNBC put his face up. It was a real surprise.

According to reports, the Holiday Inn does have cameras. Also possible, the three could have dropped her off at the hotel outside of camera range... Or, they are lying...
I had the fleeting notion a couple of days ago that this girl took off on her own...the thought was probably brought on by that stupid woman in Georgia who fled her own wedding. That's one of the things that troubled me about the so-called "runaway bride" -- more people are going to think that a missing person did vanish on his/her own. The possibility is no longer so remote, and such thoughts can hamper a serious investigation.
One of the guys in this case says he had an "intimate relationship" with the Holloway girl. I'm thinking this might have been a fantasy on his part -- she rebuffed him and then met with foul play.
Also possible, the three could have dropped her off at the hotel outside of camera range... Or, they are lying...

Could be the former, but I'm guessing it's the latter.
That's an interesting turn. Aruban officials must be watching Nancy Grace - she made a huge stink about these three well off guys being release while two considerably poorer men (with actual alibis) got the wrap. Guess business as usual in Aruba isn't going to cut it.
Still, all this fuss isn't bringing home that girl. Pray for the family.
Nancy Grace rocks - she's got that in your face, female John Walsh quality. Need more solid people out there.
bump...
Joran Van der Sloot, the son of a Dutch judge, is one of the three men who allegedly left Carlos N Charlies' Nightclub in Aruba with Natalee in a silver car the night of her disappearance. He and his two other pals have been questioned by Aruban Police, but none of them have been charged with any wrongdoing. Still, police in Aruba have said that the three young men remain persons of interest in the mysterious disappearance of the 18-year-old honor student from Alabama. Two other individuals have been arrested in the case
/Sarcasm.....
...................was she a christian?
Prayers?
I love her show! They should replace Larry King with her.
Thanks for that info!
I'd expect that a hotel closed for renovation would have few 'hotel' employees. Doesn't say that they were not employees who were laid off when the hotel closed.... Probably the clarification is a move to limit liability...
One is the son of a local judge the other two are sons of local businessmen per Fox News Johnathon Serry.
US visitors...a report yesterday said over 500,000 US visitors per year.
Most of the relatives and friends have said that Ms. Holloway would not have gone off with these strangers or she would not have gotten drunk. But as I said in one or more of the other threads -- people tend to do things on vacation they would not do at home. And that could be dangerous.
Rick Levanthal did a walk through report that showed there were camera everywhere on the street in front of Natalee's hotel. They were in the trees, drives to the hotels, streets, etc.
It's about time they stated getting serious about this. You bet they should be looking at these three. They were, after all the last to see her alive.
It's more likely one of them harmed her, then two men who can't be positively identified as ever been in her presence.
