Who Does Howard Dean Speak for? - (trend growing among Dem leadership away from DNC chairman)
MENS NEWS DAILY.COM ^ | JUNE 8, 2005 | JB WILLIAMS

Posted on 06/08/2005 3:55:04 PM PDT by CHARLITE

Dean "doesn't speak for me with that kind of rhetoric and I don't think he speaks for the majority of Democrats," said Biden, the top Democrat on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.

Leave it to liberals to elect a party leader who allegedly does not represent the interests or views of, well, their party… I hate to say “I told you so”, but we saw this one coming! Didn’t we? Chairman Dean is fast becoming one of our nation’s most notable quotables, second only to the nation’s favorite drunk Uncle, Teddy and Sen. Robert (KKK) Byrd.

Former Senator and DNC VP candidate John Edwards put it this way, Dean is "a voice. I don't agree with it." Edwards said Dean "is not the spokesman for the party." If the elected Chairman of the party does not represent the views of, or speak for the party, who elected him and why is he the Chairman? The Chairman is the official “head” of the party, yes?

Can anyone say “desperation”? Old democrats lost faith in old democratic ideals years ago. They sold that platform and the DNC of old is no more. Men like Lieberman and Miller figured this out a while back, but others like Biden and Edwards are a little late to the wake.

Clearly, the Bidens and Edwards of the party are just now realizing that it might be they who no longer speak for most democrats. The rest of us got it in the last election. The DNC belongs to MoveOn.org, George Soros and the Hollyweird billionaire boys’ club.

Has-beens like Kerry and Kennedy are just simple-minded pawns for the socialist New England elite. As long as they bring the bacon back home to Taxachusetts, their elitist buddies back home will keep them off the unemployment line. But they are otherwise a non-factor in the big picture of Washington power.

Chairman Dean leaps from sharp-tongued assaults on his opponents one minute, to preaching morals from the pulpit the next, usually followed by an endless stream of apologies. This guy gives a whole new meaning to the term “loose cannon” and the old party faithful can’t make excuses for him fast enough.

Sure, they are quick to distance themselves from his brazen no-class half-wit rhetoric. But do they have the intestinal fortitude to fire him as the “leader” of the party they say he does not represent? Do they even have the power?

Don’t kid yourself. They may be on record denouncing his half-baked hate-filled juvenile rantings, but they don’t dare shut him up. They don’t want to be associated with him publicly, but his words describe their thoughts. Dean is not known for his brilliant original ideas and his lack of political savvy is unmatched. The words that seem to effortlessly fall from his mouth were most likely plagiarized, a few goodies he was supposed to leave behind at the DNC cocktail party. They were good applause lines in close company, but were never intended for public consumption.

His public supporters talk about his fund raising abilities as though his ability to fill the campaign coffers outweighs the irrevocable damage he might do to their party. But the fact is Dean isn’t looking too hot in that department either.

BusinessWeek says Howard Dean's Raised Voice Isn't Raising Cash. “After achieving money parity with the GOP in 2004, Democrats have fallen far behind. According to the Federal Election Commission, the DNC raised $14.1 million in the first quarter of 2005, vs. the Republican National Committee's $32.3 million. Dean drew about 20,000 new donors, while his rivals picked up 68,200. The bottom line: Republicans have $26.2 million in the bank vs. $7.2 million for the Dems.”
http://www.businessweek.com/magazine/content/05_23/c3936057_mz013.htm

Chairman Dean even tried quoting the Bible in Kansas City last Friday, the golden rule and moral values while chastising Republicans for failing to practice what they preach. No easy sale for a guy whose moral values center around socialist environmental geeks, tri-sexual freaks and a woman’s so-called right to waste her offspring. Tough for a guy who can’t give a single speech without casting stones in every direction.

Does this sound like a man with Christian moral clarity to you? Dean on Homosexuality…“From a religious point of view, if God had thought homosexuality is a sin, he would not have created gay people." (I suppose we could say the same for rapists, pedophiles and murderers.) Dean on America’s moral high ground…“This country was the moral leader of the world until George Bush became president.” (Clearly, not disappointed by the moral misconduct of Bill Clinton?)

Dean on National Security… “We won't always have the strongest military.” "It's a victory for the Iraqi people ... but it doesn't have any effect on whether we should or shouldn't have had a war. ...I think in general the ends do not justify the means." Liberty is not for everyone, I guess?

Dean on tolerance… "I hate the Republicans and everything they stand for." Dean on respect for those red states… "I still want to be the candidate for guys with Confederate flags in their pickup trucks." Oops, I mean… "I believe that the flag of the Confederate States of America is a painful symbol and reminder of racial injustice and slavery."

Dean on the racial divide… "You think the Republican National Committee could get this many people of color in a single room? Only if they had the hotel staff in here." What I meant was…"Dealing with race is about educating white folks."

Dean on terrorism… "I've resisted pronouncing a sentence before guilt is found. I will have this old-fashioned notion that even with people like Osama, who is very likely to be found guilty, we should do our best not to, in positions of executive power, not to prejudge jury trials."

Dean on Republicans… Tom DeLay, ''ought to go back to Houston where he can serve his jail sentence." DeLay, neither charged nor convicted of any crime, but not entitled to that old fashioned notion of innocence apparently…

Dean on Socialism… “Well, a Democratic socialist--all right, we're talking about words here. And Bernie can call himself anything he wants. (A self described socialist) He is basically a liberal Democrat.... The bottom line is that Bernie Sanders votes with the Democrats 98 percent of the time.” (As do all socialists…)

So okay - this idiot is speaking for someone and he is speaking in volumes. If not the democrats, then who?

Dean "doesn't speak for me with that kind of rhetoric and I don't think he speaks for the majority of Democrats," said Biden.

Yes Mr. Biden, he does. You guys elected him, you threw your support behind him. He does speak for you. And every time he opens that gaping hysterical maw, we that's your opinion he is screeching. And Kennedy's, and Clinton's, and Byrd's ....

Don't they deserve a "voice", too?
Howie is representing them very well. ;o)

BTW...trisexual?
I don't want to even think about that.

He speaks for the people who have the money. He's saying exactly what they think and what the Democrat "leaders" are afraid to articulate.

This is the scary part -- that such a significant sector of America has DEGENERATED to this level of socialist, anti-American fanaticism. And that is all these people offer - hate rhetoric. Is there enough collective IQ in the Dem voters to ask just one simple question -- "What is your plan to take America forward?" They cannot answer the question, because the plan is MAJOR SOCIALISM and government control of your life and your wealth.

O'Reilly said (on his radio show this morning), that Judy Dean has always been way far left of Howard. Eventually, she and her circle won him over to their extreme liberal side.

According to O'Reilly, Howard Dean was somewhat of a conservative Democrat in the past, but close observers say that his wife, Judy, pulled him radically to the left.

Since I'm not a Vermonter, I wouldn't know if this is true or not, but I just thought that I would share it. Perhaps a Vermont FReeper will see this thread and "confirm or deny!"

Thanks for your comments, Eagle!

Well it says alot about his character, doesn't it? Anyone who could be so influenced, has no character, and is most likely an very self-serving opportunist (as many far-left pols are)...why do I keep smelling the Clintons???

Funny... I thought he spoke for the guys with Confederate flags on their pick up trucks.

And you know, I've been seeing a lot fewer of those pick ups than I did before he stuck up for them.

That's a load. He lets his spouse *tell* him what to think? Not so. If it were, that would indicate he is barely potty trainable.

My wife and I usually agree in priciple, and when we don't one can sometimes persuade the other with good reasoning. But we are independent thinkers and neither of us can "lead" the other to irrational ideas.

Of course, that is why we aren't Dimocrats.
