President Ronald Reagan, First Inaugural Address, January 20, 1981
I am sorry to say, but I don't think Americans are particulary courageous, and ceretainly not morally superior, or in good enough shape to fight.
"No arsenal or no weapon in the arsenals of the world is so formidable as the will and moral courage of free men and women."
Well stated at the time. It's nice to see it in print again.
I'm not sure that arms or barriers of the sea will protect us so much as what President Reagan said.
