Are y'all talking about Team America??? I was ashamed for how much I laughed during that movie (tears rolling down face!) Never admitted to my church friends that I saw that movie, but I would definately watch it again! (If you're not taking about Team America then......well I......never saw it!) ;-)

Yes, that would be Team America, the only movie I've ever considering suing for bruises suffered while rolling on the floor laughing.

Kofi Annan of the UN should tap that GREAT American "liberal" humanitarian Teresa Heinz Kerry for a 4 million drop on AIDS. Heinz Foundation would be actually pro-actively charitable instead of aiding and abetting the Andy Warhol Drug-Orgy Gleeful Culture, er, Museum.

Again-these are facts that were known years ago.

I lost a Godson to AIDS in 1985,contracted from a blood transfusion.

I'm well aware,as are most people, that it is not just a homosexual disease.

A friend of my daughter's brought the rental over for us all to watch. Suffice it to say he had NO idea how crude it was- but we all laughed our butts off.
It was worth all the superfluous orifice jokes to hear it said that Team America's headquarters was attacked by a "fat socialist weasel". Seeing MM self-Zot 'bout made me fall off the couch.

Here's an idea.....Stop screwing everything and anything that moves. I say not another dime. I don't recall anyone ever handing me a fistfull of dollars and saying, here, this prevents AIDS.

I'll join you in that lawsuit. The puppet sex is what got me. You would think that that was made to appeal to 17 year old males, but this 37 year old female just about busted a gut watching that. Coincidently, I now have a strange fascination with men named Gary...hhmm...

Not in Uganda! Prayer, a revival of faith and abstinence. AIDS now at 3%.

Official publications from UN about don't want to mention Uganda, except as a "remarkable success story of government programs. Hogwash.

When AIDS swept through the country, the people cried out to God, and once again He moved.

Today, Uganda is one of the only African nations that has seen a decline in HIV infections, and the nation is experiencing spiritual and community transformation in political circles, the marketplace and the church...

Many of Uganda's politicians are acknowledging God in political affairs as they seek Him for wisdom. Prayer has been initiated in state-government offices, and some judges pray before they convene for court, Senyonga said. In a historical move, the nation's president, Yoweri Museveni, issued a proclamation in 2000 declaring that God is the God of Uganda. Quote: Pastor Jackson Senyonga.

Well, puppets are just too funny no matter what, but when they say stuff like "Arek Bardwin" and get patchy cosmetic surgery, that's another level LOL

Sex And HIV: Behaviour-Change Trial Shows No Link
The East African (Nairobi)
March 17, 2003
Posted to the web March 19, 2003

By Paul Redfern, Special Correspondent Nairobi
A UK funded trial aimed at reducing the spread of Aids in Uganda by modifying sexual behaviour appears to have had little discernible effect.

The trial, carried out on around 15,000 people in the Masaka region, involved distributing condoms, treating around 12,000 victims of sexually transmitted diseases and counselling.

However, while the trial led to a marked change in sexual behavioural patterns, with the proportion reporting causal sexual partners falling from around 35 per cent to 15 per cent, there was no noticeable fall in
the number of new cases of HIV infection, although there was a significant reduction in sexually transmitted diseases such as syphilis and gonorrhoea.

The trial results, which were reported in the British medical journal The Lancet, have already aroused some controversy.

The team leader of the trial, Dr Anatoli Kamalai, acknowledged that there was "no measurable reduction" in HIV incidence with "no hint of even a small effect."

Uganda has an annual population growth of well over 3% per year (as to the US's 1% per year) and yet, this is one of the countries that these dire predictions were made about, 20 years ago

_______

Top killers

Diarrhoea: kills over 2m
Pneumonia: kills over 2m
Malaria: kills about 1m
(So called) Aids: kills about 0.3m
Measles: kills 0.1m

""no measurable reduction" in HIV incidence with "no hint of even a small effect." ..

Tell that to today's Ugandans. The article you quote is from 2003. Things have changed radically in Uganda.

So if vaginal intercourse can't explain the awful African epidemic, what can?

Anal intercourse with women is what.

I will bet that is what goes on in Africa.

Lancet or not, the conclusions in this article make no sense. If behavior changes, the infection rate changes - especially for AIDS. Just look at San Francisco's "gay" community. In the initial AIDS scare, behavior changed and infection rates dropped dramatically.

But the same men are now experiencing "safe-sex fatique" and have resumed their former high risk behavior. AIDS infection rates have risen correspondingly, as well as those for the other diseases mentioned in the Lancet article.

Oh please. All those Ugandan numbers were phony from Day 1. The joke used to be, "You die in a car wreck in Uganda, they mark you down as an AIDS victim". All this African AIDS hysteria is a PC scam to get our tax dollars. To this day, they rarely if ever even test for HIV in Africa. After Uganda, it was Thailand. Then Russia. Every year it's another 3rd World nation "devasted" by HIV. Then ... it never happens.

Actually you are wrong. They have not.

Source is CDC's HIV/AIDS Surveillance Reports.

During the period when the incidence of AIDS in the USA rose gradually to a peak in 1992 and has since been declining steadily the CDC reported a constant prevalence of HIV in the population (1 million
Americans) from 1985 to 1995. In 1996, the CDC revised downward the estimate of the prevalence of HIV in the population retrospectively from 1992 to now with yet another constant figure of 650,000.

That is, the prevalence of HIV in the USA has never gone up. It has remained constant for 10 years or was lowered to a new figure that has remained constant for 8 years during a period when AIDS increased, reached
a peak, and has since been steadily declining.

You left out hemophiliacs. A lot of them have died as a result of this and it wasn't any fault of theirs.
