France raises terror alert level

FRANCE today raised its anti-terror alert to red, the second-highest rating, after a series of explosions rocked London, Prime Minister Dominique de Villepin announced. The alert level was changed immediately to red, moving up one notch on a four-level scale, the prime minister said.
Scarlet is the highest warning level.
Mr Villepin expressed his "deepest solidarity'' with the British people after the explosions.
Sheesh.... I nearly spit coffee on the keyboard...Is this something from The Onion? Do they really have red and scarlet in their terror levels?
