One could make a mint of money with such an enterprise!
Are you English? You spelled center "centre". Or do you just prefer the English spelling?
Maybe.

Long story. I am an aviation nut and have been since I was a wee lad. Many relatives catered to my interests by giving to me books on aviation and aerospace. Most of these books were printed in the UK; as a result, I based my spelling and grammar on British Standard English through this early exposure (I grew up thinking that everyone spelled and wrote according to how the authors of those books wrote). Also, I refer to the letter "Z" as "zed" and I write the numeral seven with a line through the stem.
I grew up reading books written by English authors, as well. Consequently my own spelling reflects British spelling. I misspelled "honor" once in English class for spelling it "honour."
Teachers used to give me a hrad time in public school until I pointed-out that the Webster's dictionary listed my spellings as proper spellings allowed in American Standard English. However, no one has given me any guff about it in university and I am currently a grad student.
Do they even care about spelling in college? : )
"Do they even care about spelling in college? : )"
They only care if you can spell Marx, Lenin, Stalin, and Engels correctly... :-)
Actually, my university is fairly conservative despite the best efforts of some hard-core Marxists in the faculty.
Wow. The Marxists must in the minority there?
This article is the reason why I don't chat to men from the middle east or africa. And once I chat with them and find out that they are of middle eastern heritage - I block them from contacting me.
I meant to say chat on the internet. As in instant messaging.
There are a few die-hard aging hippies in the faculty who still think that it is 1968; however, they are either retiring or croaking. The remaining lefties are no match for the hard-charging conservatives of various stripes who comprise the majority of our student body. Some of the Marxists are leaving because too few students take their courses.
You'd think that at some point in time, aging lefties would come out of their 1968 cocoon and emerge into the 21st century. Alas! I don't think that will happen. There aren't enough David Horowitzes around. The country needs more.
