You should fire the AI spokesperson who compares the detainee camp at Guantanamo Bay to the [worst] gulag of our times.

Funny you seem to forget there are far more prisoners, hundreds of thousands, if not millions, and most of these are truly innocent prisoners, in China and North Korea to mention just two countries, who live in real gulags and who would find Gitmo to be a Caribbean resort in comparison. You insult their suffering.

Such fraudulent hyberbole merely undercuts the credibility of your organization to all persons who truly understand history and the current global political situation.

Of course I fully understand you are creating controversy and targetting the ignorant Anti American types who will donate money to your organization because they'll lap up your faulty characterization. I'm sure it's a tactic that works but so unbecoming for an organization that so many expect to provide the truth.

I have donated to AI in the past as I thought your work was worthy.

I will no longer and I will spread the word amongst my colleagues and friends until such time as I see either an apology or retraction for this fraudulent characterization, a firing of this spokesperson and/or I see some active effort on your part to help prisoners living in real "gulags". When you start haranging Kim Jong Il and the government of China day in and day out, you may start to regain your credibility.

In the meantime, I will only support organizations that are really interested in the truth, that don't use lies in order to raise money, that are interested in helping the greatest number of those that truly need help.

I have siad it many times over. It is so easy for these leftist groups just to roam around the US and make their idiotic human rights complaints about us. Let them try it in a country that really violates human rights and see if they make it out alive. They are pathetic.

Look, it's simply not possible to "mistreat" a book. It has no feelings, and when it comes to the Koran, there are umpteen millions of copies floating around.

I'm getting tired of the government trying to force this Islamofascist religious belief about the sacredness of the Koran on the rest of us. It's not the business of our government to promulgate religious doctrines, nor to act in accordance with them.
