What is their problem? Bush hasn't nominated the Pope so what's the deal? Why have they targeted the Pope? I understand they are against religion but they should say what they mean.

I think it was George Will who pointed out that this seems to be the way they think they'll bring the Catholic vote back to the Dems! ;-)

If by chance Pope Benedict XVI were nominated to the Supreme Court... I'm sure Byrd, Boxer, etc. would find something "wrong" and "extreme" about him.

Long live Pope Benedict XVI.

"What is their problem?"

When an exorcist is removing a devil from a person, and when the devil can no longer resist the priest's counter attack, the devil screams "I'm dying! ", or "you're killing me!".

Sometimes this signals a exorcism nearing its end. Sometimes it means nothing at all (the devil could be faking it).

The attack by MoveOn.org signals the Spiritual strength of the Pope over secularism. Evil is moving closer to its chosen Eternal Death. The nature of evil will be less able to hide its true identity.

Somebody should remind the scumbags at moveon.org that this sort of ad was also run against one of their heros, John F. Kennedy. IIRC, the sayings were "we can't have the government of the US run by the Vatican!"

Which congress-critter was it who pretty much said that devout Catholics (or for that matter, any observant Christian or Jew) can not be appointed to the SCOTUS? They only want people who only give lip-service to the tennents of their religion.

I don't remember if it was Schumer, but I'll say it anyway: He makes me SICK!
