Cool. This time of year gets really interesting for SJ. We have to bug out at least 2 times a year for Hurricans. I was active duty during Floyd and that was a pure mess. You are right, SJ is a very good base. Lots of great folks there (and in the Goldsboro area as well) Great Assingment!

DoD has a whole site dedicated to the BRAC and the Air Force has one just for Air Force bases.

Go to http://www.dod.gov/brac/ -- then on the left hand side of the webpage you can click on the Air Force BRAC and it will take you to the Air Force site where you can check out everything by State. It has the info in great detail.

I think that area is really pretty -- always thought it would be a great assignment. Long time ago I dated someone who was assigned at SJ so I remember that area. Never been on Pope.

Have you looked at the AF site for the BRAC? I like how they broke it down by State and it has all the Guard/Reserve movements as well as active duty listed for each location.

Bush recess appointed both Pryor and Pickering. A recess appointment is much more effective with the UN post as it is not a life time post. It is a big deal that a recess judicial appointment expires when this session of Congress expires. It is less important that Boltons recess appointment would expire particularly if Bush made him acting and then recess appointed him a second time. The Dims deserve this treatment for not keeping their word.
