Not our little Pyewacket, though.

When you wrote,

"Cracker: A derogatory term used to typically describe poor southern whites, sometimes used to refer to white slave masters or overseers"

That is pretty close, but not quite right. It has nothing to do with economic status.

A "Cracker" is what the slaves use to call the white guys that whipped them during the Slave days. The whip "cracks" every time it is used. Therefore, anyone who would use the whip on the slaves was called a cracker. A cracker was feared as you can imagine why.

I use to think it was kind of a funny name before I truly understood the meaning. However, now it kind of gives me the creeps.

Didn't he also say he's afraid of blacks in one of his stand-up routines?

No. It's he hates n......s, because of their bad behavior and goes on to give a number of examples. He loves regular, law-abiding black people.

Rock can sometimes rub me the wrong way, but he is usually right on about black family life and behavior (being of that color persuasion myself, I know), probably because he grew up in a 2 parent family and understands what proper family behavior is. So sometimes he's not what conservatives want, so what? I'd rather listen to Rock than a lot of the truly leftist comedians out there.

I'll skip the Longest Yard anyway.

The original one is a classic, but Adam Sandler as Paul Crewe? And where's Eddie Albert and Ray Nitchke(sp). They were great villans.

I think the producers "broke their @#^@# necks".

You are right, there is a very big difference between the two. There are a lot of both (bofe) in my hood.

"conservatives". Probably too broad a category to describe much of anything. How many "conservatives" were way offended by the Mrs Bush's roast of W and thought it was a symbol of Republican decadance while others were amazed that anyone would be offended.

Chris Rock has one view of the world = Black Vs. White.

If he wasn't turning comedy tricks he'd be working at a Churches Chicken.

Screw Chris Rock.

Exactly.

These comments were actually part of his stand up routine, in which he rips blacks, whites and other races.

People need to stop being so sensitive.
