See Freepers? Allen (or his aide) knows how many phone calls were received, not emails or faxes. Call.

I heard it too. But WHEN, for cryin' out loud?!
Gotta hand it to the Dems on this one. What they lack in policies and principles they make up for in cunning. We will never hear Graham, etc. say they were hoodwinked. (Not the word I wanted to use, but there are posting guidelines to consider.) But for goodness sake, I hope some of the "salvageable" members of the backstabbing seven (if indeed ANY of them are salvageable) will learn something. Or, more likely, the senators will learn that "the Daschle effect" works on Republicans too.
I'm disgusted. Signing off for now. I hate it that, on top of everything, DU types are probably reading these boards and grinning. But we were let down BY OUR OWN. It hurts.

One of the goals of this was to gain time. When the rats start to block nominees again, Frist will start his kabuki dance over from the beginning.
Those vacancies will be filled by President Hillary, for whom the Republicans will roll over.

"Our republic stands strong. Our Constitution is solid. Our flag flies over a nation that has reaffirmed its faith in freedom," said Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid, Nevada Democrat, while Sens. Edward M. Kennedy, Massachusetts Democrat, and Charles E. Schumer, New York Democrat, and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi praised the deal for averting a crisis. Hearing these socialists use patriotic phrases makes me ill. What their true intentions are is the exact opposite of what Reid stated. These are the people that would like to rip apart the Constitution, bring down our flag, and are fighting to take away our freedoms every day. Those four senators are probably as big a threat to this country as many of our outside enemies.

"Our republic stands strong. Our Constitution is solid. Our flag flies over a nation that has reaffirmed its faith in freedom," said Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid What the hell is he talking about? I thought the self serving, platitudinous, blow-hard rantings of Senator Foghorn were just a cartoon.

Quick Rule - whenever Ted Kennedy "praises a deal," it was a bad deal for America.

They did.
You can bet the farm that if the Democrats went for it the end result will be good for Democrats and bad for Conservatives. I deliberately did not use the word "Republicans" because with the exception of 10 Republicans in both Houses of Congress, the "Republicans are more than happy to be both the whipping boys and butt boys of the Democrats.

Wow, I'm sure the Dems are shaking in their boots.

Frist is the leader of the majority party.
McCain is leader of the Majority Bloc.
I do not think Frist has the votes to go nuc anymore.
McCain is already setting the agenda, i.e. Kennedy/McCain immigration reform, clean sports act.
The Bloc may allow votes on, and confirmation of, the three that they were reluctantly have to allow, but the rest of the nominees are SOL. And the Ninth Circus Court still does not have any conservative judges.
My hope is that events prove me wrong.

"I heard it too. But WHEN, for cryin' out loud?!"
The when is out of our control. It happens when the Democrats decide to filibuster, and a cloture vote to stop that filibuster fails. Only then. Timing (and whether it ever happens) is in the control of the Democrats.
At what point does it become acceptable to start advocating the over throw of the goverment, and the forceful RE-institution of our constitutional republic.?

The Republican party has become "Democrat Light".
Is there anyone in Ohio that wants to organize a dump Voinovich movement?
