Since the Dems have agreed not to vote for cloture for the three they said were MOST extreme.....I wonder who would fall in the 'exceptional case' category?

Take a look at the comments from Reid (posted in 1511) and tell me why we shouldn't be furious. In addition, the agreement suggests that President Bush consult with the Senate before bringing a nominee up for consideration. Then we have Lanny Davis saying this is a victory for the centrists in congress and Lindsay Graham boasting that the 14 moderates will come up with a solution to save social security.

Jeffrey Toobin on CNN now saying he's read various blogs and although the pubbies are beside themselves with anger, the dems are happier with the outcome as the GOP has agreed not to change the rules until 2007. I have a horrible taste in my mouth and will wait until Brit gives his assessment tomorrow. Tonight we must endurse liberal pundits telling us what a victory this is for the dems.

No matter what happens....the media will paint it as a Dem win....that's a given.

I'm trying to hang on to the positves....Brown, Owens & Pryor....and now I'm thinking that this may be the best we could get especially if Frist didn't have the votes needed to nuke the judicial filibuster.
