Yep, I have no illusions but Frist still has only about 48 votes.

That gives Frist, Rove, and Bush exactly 12 hours to either swing 2 votes or surrender the agenda.

Votes will swing for different parts of his agenda but he must compromise to get them. There are not 50 Republican votes in the Senate that the President can count on but neither does he have to surrender the agenda. There must be retribution though.

Interesting analysis, and at this point, you may be spot on. This McCain and Company "deal" is just that -- a deal between the Quislings and the Democrat Wormtongues. Neither Frist nor Bush should abide by it, if it means bigger trouble down the road.
