Wrong. Rummel is VERY careful in his research to separate out victims of war (those killed in active fighting) and victims of democide (civilians killed at government behest).
Rummel is unable to determine precisely how many were killed resisting, how many died because of disease or hunger and how many were summarily executed.
He can be as careful as he likes - he can't invent information that we simply don't have.
And I repeat---dead is dead. The way they were killed matters not in the least.

that is probably due to two factors--1) that the total number of Jews was relatively small, and 2) that Jewish populations were highly concentrated in specific tiny geographic areas, and hence were easier to round up and exterminate.
The obvious third factor is that the Nazis wanted to eliminate all jews, while the Nazis only wanted to cow and subjugate Slavs by killing only Slavs who resisted their rule. Non-Jewish ethnic groups that cooperated, like Hungarians, got off lightly. Non-Jewish groups that resisted, like Poles, were decimated.
But THE main conclusion that one is forced to draw from Rummel's research is that SOCIALISM IS DEADLY, and, as a political philosophy, has been responsible for the deaths of more people than ANY OTHER SINGLE CAUSE---and that includes things like the "Black Plague" and other such supposed catastrophes.
No serious observer disputes this conclusion.

Again, wrong. The only reason he succeeded so well with the Jews was that they were concentrated, isolated, and disarmed (which is one reason I have a hard time understanding the current position of many Jews on civilian gun ownership---one would think that THEY, if any group, would understand the absolute need of the citizenry to own the means to resist--I can't understand why EVERY Jew in the USA isn't a member of the NRA).
