While I may have not been entirely accurate from a technical point of view, my point remains that it's necessary to jump through assorted hoops to receive Fox News in Canada and that it's not as readily available as some, including O'Reilly, are attempting to lead our American friends to believe.

Further, the CRTC's bias is evidenced by the fact that, even though Fox News enjoys higher ratings stateside, it's CNN that's included within most basic cable packages and those who want Fox News are compelled to go to the trouble and expense that you were to receive it.

Agreed. Not only is CNN in the normal analog range, it also has two channels in that range, CNN and CNN Headline News.

My point as to the difference between digital and high definition is that many people are reluctant to sign up for digital because they equate it with the more expensive high definition and believe that they would either have to make a large capital investment or put up with a squashed down picture. This was what my sister believed until she came to my home and saw the digital services showing normally on a standard tv set.
