Don't worry - Bayourod, Dane, and the rest of the criminal-lovers will be on this thread any moment to tell us that the Washington Times is the liberal mouthpiece of the DNC and that we shouldn't believe it.
Then they'll tell us about this great new plan by arch-Conservatives Teddy Kennedy and Johnny McCain.
....I'm gonna barf.

Well, at least this'll shorten the wait for our new national Real IDs in a couple years. The faster the illegals can get themselves a utility bill and social security number the less they'll hold up the line for the rest of us..

Maybe we could hire some Mexican private contractors to do the border watching that our Border Patrol doesn't want to do?
There are usually a few dozen outside the Home Depot not far from where I live. I bet we could hire 'em for $10/hour.
Of course I'm just guessing.
Hey Rod, how much do you pay your slaves laborers?

Until one of these Border Patrol agents has the courage and self confidence to stand up and become a whistleblower. Until one Border Patrol agent comes forth and SUES in court or something big. Until one of them can come forth with an email or tape recording or video, its not going anywhere.
Where is our President in a time of WAR on this issue. Apparently our President has surrendered our border in a time of WAR. But, hey it doesn't matter, we must still .... NO.
We don't need to tow the stinking party line, we don't need to take this crap. Stop giving money to Republicans. That will do a lot more than calling and writing. Why?

Not until the good people of Arizona send McCain packing and replace him with a Tancredo type republican, nothing will get done. McCain is not on your side. He sees all the beer sales to his wifes company.

But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same object, evinces a design to reduce them under absolute despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such government, and to provide new guards for their future security. The Minutemen: true American patriots then---true American patriots now.
And if the modern day Minutemen are "vigilantes," as the contemporary George says, so were the Minutemen of 1776 that stood up to the George of their era.
God bless America. God destroy the traitors that would hand any part of America's territory or sovereignty to Mexico.

Am I missing something? Wouldn't the BP want to INCREASE arrests to prove the ineffectiveness of the Minutemen? I don't understand how holding arrests down after the Minutemen have gone proves the BP can handle the job alone.

This is complete insanity!! As I stated in my
thread a year ago (that FR decided to throw in the backroom) I voted for Bush in 2000 but I wouldn't vote for him again in 2004 unless he changed his position on illegal immigration. He didn't change his position, and I didn't vote for him either.... I was accused by some on here of being a DUer, but I'm not a DUer. I'm just a Republican who is damn tired of our president leaving our borders wide open to illegals, terrorists, and anybody else who wants to walk across them. Incidentally, I didn't vote for Kerry in 2004 either because I didn't think his policy on illegal immigration would be any better than Bush's.. But I don't know how it could be any worse.
I hope this "stand down" idiocy results in the crap really hitting the fan! Maybe then Bush will get the message.
To: Spiff
This is treason, plain and simple.
If this is true:
Mr. Tancredo, chairman of the Congressional Immigration Reform Caucus, blamed the Bush administration for setting an immigration enforcement tone that suggests to those enforcing the law that he is not serious about secure borders
someone should be indicted. This is by far more serious than a 'stained dress.'

If the Border patrol isn't going to do their job, why are the taxpayers funding them? Cut the program. It's a waste of money.

This is complete garbage. Whoever gave that order should be fired and/or arrested. I'd rather pay 5 dollars more for fresh fruit and vegetables than have a sieve for a border, not to mention telling the border patrol to stop arresting illegals.
To: Spiff
I have three words for every government official, no matter how high the office, involved in ordering these officers not to enforce the law:
Obstruction of Justice
It's a crime and they should be prosecuted for it.
