Great column. I did not find this in search. Hard to believe no one else posted it.

Now that the fighting spirit has been re-engaged, Republicans will prefer to take the odd wound in the chest fighting for something, rather than a wound on the backside running away from their responsibilities. The best stop running from a fight

What a sorry picture -- a city full of large, ivory-tusked, bull battle elephants driven to fear and distraction, and goring each other by the braying of a pack of mangy jackasses.
But Democrats appear to have overplayed their hand. They are powerless to do much of anything in national politics....
GREAT QUOTE!

Most of us frustrated Republicans can say " It's about time they grew a spine "

GOP needs to stick to their guns. They have the upper hand all they have to do is follow through.

Your right, it is a good column. But the Republicans in Congress are whimps. Again, I'll believe it when I see it.

All of these measures are mere window dressing. Until there is LEADERSHIP and RESOLVE regarding the borders, no one will give a damn about any of it.
When you've got essentially an 800 pound gorilla sitting in the room with you - and it just ate a bottle of Viagra, while smoking some PCP - other matters tend to become less important.

Great column. I did not find this in search. Hard to believe no one else posted it.The real problem, IMHO, is that you can't search on the name of the author and get a list sorted by date. As long as you didn't misspell the author's name you'd be pretty sure of picking up any posting, seems to me.
