Man, you just presented facts. In the current FR environment of doom and gloom, facts must not be shown. You should only talk ill of President Bush and the Republican party.
1) We have had only token reductions in taxes. Government spending has grown more under this administration than any other in history. Real conservatives would not collect taxes to spend on things that are not constitutionally authorized.
2) The proposal is for partial privatization, with a raise in the cap and means testing.
3) How can you make that statement with Norm Maneta still running the Dept of Transportation our southern border completely unguarded?
This punk should be persona non grata (unwelcome person) at EVERY Republican event in the country. Grassroots Republicans should walk out of the room, en masse, every time he speaks. And they should make some noise in so doing.

Hmmmm, that's not what George W. Bush did as governor of Texas, when he ran RiNO primary challengers against conservative incumbents on the Texas state school board who were fighting Democrats on the board and the people from Norman Lear's People for the American Way over textbook content. PAW and the NEA were defending socialist and Leftist propaganda in schoolbooks against homegrown Texas critics who objected to children's being propagandized with tendentiously liberal, humanist, and nihilist course content. Bush and his political people weighed in on the wrong side.
Bush also stood aside as gay termites in the state government began quietly allowing homosexual couples to adopt wards of the State, in violation of Texas law, and didn't lift a finger to help a conservative woman whom gay-friendly state administrators fired in retaliation for blowing the whistle on the gay cabal.
There's another problem with DeLay's message:
When your party ceases to discuss public issues openly and honestly, your party becomes a conspiracy against the people as issues go behind closed doors and get settled in backroom deals, anaerobically and out of sight. Running your party out of a back room is how you grow corruption, not honest, clean government.
The World Trade Center was destroyed in less than an hour by illegal immigrants.

If you think having too many Mexicans is a problem, wait until both Texas and California are wall-to-wall Democratic strongholds giving the Rats a lock on the Presidency and the Senate, and their governors are old Mechistas, like current California lieutentant-governor Cruz Bustamante and LA mayor Villaraigosa. Wait until Mexican and Chicano nationalists and irridentists start talking the way the Parti Quebecoise does now up in Canada, about taking States out of the Union.
And if that's still not bad enough, wait until the U.N. sets up a commission run by the Chinese, the Russians, and the French, to oversee the partition of the United States.
We have got to stop letting Rinos like Cannon take precsious seats from real Republicans.
I disagree, the reductions have been substantial. Unfortunately, they've thrown the budget out of balance because there haven't been corresponding reductions in outgo, and there can't be that much reduction in spending when so much of it is for obligations like debt service. At least we got rid of welfare -- but the Congress did that, not the Bush Administration.

Unfortunately true, and conservatives would have to be unhappy with the degree to which the Administration's behavior has become Keynesian. I think the Administration is actually engaged in pump-priming to fight the recession in financial assets that has been going on since the end of the bull market in 2000.

I agree, and one of our priorities should be to engineer the gradual withdrawal of government from extraconstitutional activities like Social Security and the repricing, privatization, or even abolition of corporate-welfarist projects like the Federal Reserve, the Corps of Engineers, and the Federal Aviation Administration that were created to benefit primarily corporate interests at the public expense.
Aaaaaah but, this Stupid Party is shrinking. I was a life long republican but no more. I am now completely Independent and look for a GOOD THIRD or FOURTH party.
Whenever I receive a request for donation and/or a questioning to fill out, I return with a little note telling them nicely that they are no longer my party and most of all no more money. I send the note in their prepaid envelope.
They keep coming every single day!
I think we can do something about that in the next election.

The long term solutions to the illegal immigration problem is really indirect.
If America stops paying people in food stamps, medical care, housing, money etc., not to work these people will FINALLY be forced to take the "jobs Americans will not do."
Also, if these handouts were not available, many illegal immigrants would not come here.
Having more children is not the answer when these children will not mow the neighbors lawn for the astronomical amount of $5.00 an hour because he is given everything anyways!
Hell, our almost all (RINO) republican Texas government has raised taxes and passed a law to give in-state tuition to illegal aliens. The Republicans have left me. The're all either socialists or communists. There is very little hope left for the America I grew up in.

Tax reductions were not "Substantial". The government, with the Presidency and both houses of congress controlled by the Republicans, is increasing spending at an alrming rate. Consider the potential tax reductions possible if dspending were reduced to proper levels and compare that to the crumbs we were thrown. If a business acted this way the stock holders would have fired the management long ago.
