Man gets 35 years for murdering 15-year-old lover

A Chicago man who murdered a teenage boy he was having sex with was sentenced to 35 years in prison Tuesday.

Cook County Judge Rickey Jones handed down the sentence the same day William Gaston, 34, pleaded guilty to first-degree murder in the death of 15-year-old Marquie Davis.

In September 2001, Gaston had been having a relationship with Davis for several months, prosecutors said.

At some point, Davis said he wanted to date other people, and the two argued about it.

Shot in face

On Sept. 24, 2001, Davis and Gaston were walking in the 3600 block of West Grenshaw when Gaston, carrying a 9mm pistol, found a secluded spot and shot Davis three times in the face, according to prosecutors.

Gaston then made his way to Garfield Park on the West Side and tossed the handgun into a pond.

At some point, authorities said, the victim's mother called Gaston and wanted to know the whereabouts of her son.

Gaston then called police and offered to help in the investigation.

But shortly after being questioned by police, Gaston allegedly admitted to killing Davis, prosecutors said.

Gaston faced as much as 60 years in prison had he gone to trial and lost.

We can not rely on lawbreakers to apply justice for us. In addition, no one deserves rape as punishment.

Well, if we insist on rape as a punishment, we ought to do it in a duly prescribed manner, at a time and under circumstances dictated by law, not some horny prison goon. I can just hear the judge reading the sentence now: "You will be taken from here to the place whence you came and from thence to a place of violation, where you will be buggered in the rectum until you are dead. A truly horrible article. It's not graphic, really; just horrible that a 34 year old homosexual, buggering a young teenage boy, and then murdering him in cold blood, is just another regular crime.

And the murdering homosexual only gets 35 years! What has happened to justice? Why is someone's life so worthless that the murderer is not going to face execution? Why does a grown man sodomizing a young boy not warrant execution by itself?

Defining deviancy down has led to countless lives being thrown away like trash. And it will get worse, unless somehow or other it's turned around.

I can assure you that being raped in prison has nothing at all to do with the poster on this board.It usually has nothing to do with sex either.They rape for personal pleasure,to inflict pain and suffering,to control you,to extort you,because they hate you for being white,and just because they can.I think the writer was talking about the spot that a molester holds at the bottom of the scum even in a prison filled with murderers.They usually don't rape a child molester who might enjoy it but a good beating can never be ruled out.It is prison after all.
