Those who wanted to hound the Catholic church have long been silent on molestation in public schools and from UN officials.
Even in the US there are serial rapists working for the UN who flee the country when they are brought up on charges of child rape.
Not to mention the teachers...
If they were investigating the public schools like they should, they'd find the public schools make the Catholic Church scandal look like Sesame Street.
The teachers union has it set up where teachers are exempt from any back ground checks. No one knows what kind of kook is teaching their children, or what that kook is teaching them.
Public schools are liberal indoctrination centers, where anything is acceptable, no matter how vile it may be.
These kinds of statistics were noted several years ago my Professor Philip Jenkins, University Of Pennsylvania in his comparison between Catholic priests, other religious from different denominations and secular professions. Jenkins found that priests had the lowest percentage of abuse of any of the groups.
But you can bet that there will not be slanderous attacks on all teachers the way there have been and are slanderous attacks on all Catholic priests.
It defies justice and decency to slander and libel any group because of a small perccentage of criminally deviate members, but this kind of reporting needs to be put into persepctive with the crap that was leveled against the Catholic Church.
You have the dominant media CELEBRATING a teacher who had sex repeatedly with a minor student. Entertainment Tonight is covering the wedding exclusively.
Children are not required to be in church but they are required by law to be in school.
Also they spend 8 hours at school whereas few children spend 8 hours a day at church.
FAR more opportunities for molestation. Now I won't say that this accounts for the difference in numbers of assaults, I am trying to make the point that there is much more likelihood for molestation at school and serious attention needs to be focused on the providers of that state mandated child care.
He?? From what I've read recently, the word she would probably be more appropriate.
you know what? Rush pointed that out last year. A great point. When a teacher does it, it's cool. When a priest does it, it's not.
I am astounded at the number of teachers who have been charged with these crimes. We're living in a cesspool.
State Representative Donna Rowland (R.-Murfreesboro) House District 34
...be prepared for a smear campaign from the NEA.
I'm amazed that we don't see more parents like Ellie Nessler.
Of course. There were priests who did wrong, but you will find pedophiles and other types of molestors in every group that has exposure to children, such as teachers, priests, etc. The emphasis on the church is part of a liberal hit job which is really all about abortion and homosexuality. Ironically, many of the priests may have engaged in homosexual sex rather than pedophilia.
In the '60's liberals plan was to change the world by taking over teaching. I guess that they have.
People shouldn't sue the schools if their children are molested, they should sue the teacher unions for hiring them.
Yeah, and goes to a different district and begins teaching (and molesting)again.
Funny... but I don't think the number of cases involving the priest issues have come anywhere close to this.
Indeed. I'll almost bet that within a year the scandal of teachers in public schools caught seducing their students will explode into a national scandal that will make the Catholic priest scandal seem like a small-time event.
