This ping list is not author-specific for articles I'd like to share. Some for perfect moral clarity, some for provocative thoughts; or simply interesting articles I'd hate to miss myself. (I don't have to agree with the author 100% to feel the need to share an article.) I will try not to abuse the ping list and not to annoy you too much, but on some days there is more of good stuff that is worthy attention. I keep separate PING lists for my favorite authors Victor Davis Hanson, Lee Harris, David Warren, Orson Scott Card. You are welcome in or out, just freepmail me (and note which PING list you are talking about).
R.J. Rummel writes good stuff.
Absolutely nails it. Great post.
If so, this also applies to the Black Death, which affected a Europe with a total population of 75 to 100 million, making it quite a bit more dramatic than he implies, even when compared to the ravages of Communism.
It is also estimated that the Mongols killed somewhere around 100 million people out of a world population at the time of less than 1B, with no real ideology other than "me want," and with their highest technology the recurved bow.
My point is that modern events are not always as unprecedented as they appear to us due to historical foreshortening.

Another R.J. Rummel ping.
Communists, liberals---they should be darted, carted and released in the wild.
These murders should be brought up repeatedly, until they become a part of popular consciousness. Without an awareness of the costs of these Communist experiments, the World's people will be living in a dream world.
