I wonder if anyone on the Air America roster would be brave enough to take such a tour?
Not likely. Much easier to just hang around the States and gripe.

I wonder if anyone on the Air America roster would be brave enough to take such a tour? NOPE! I honestly believe they are all missing the intestinal fortitude to even contemplate it much less hear the words of derision that the troops would heap upon them.

It's funny, but you never hear about the "respect" that media folks have for the military - I wonder why? Fear of going from the "A" list among the effite-intelligensia elite social circles to the "C" (Red-Neck Conservative) social list and relegated to NASCAR races, backyard BBQs, corner neighborhood Bars and family Fishing trips.

They also might learn something, which would be disastrous for their thought processes.

Huh, WLW in Cincinnati forgot to mention that their man's trip was organized by the Pentagon. I got the impression that the whole thing was WLW's idea...

Surely hope every single one of these fine people report for all the world to hear just what they have reported here. My brother in law is ready to return May 7th after a year heading reconstruction and he's reporting the same wonderful progress. May God Bless them all and the wonderful folks doing the work. Wow! Bless our President for his vision and strength daily while his wife is "watching Desperate Housewives." She was fabulous.

Lamentations 3: 22-23 The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases, His mercies never come to an end. They are new every morning; Great is Thy faithfulness.
May your brother-in-law be safe and return home to his extended family well. May you all be comforted by the Lord as you wait for your brother-in-laws safe return.

Thanks for posting & for the ping.
Reading it made me feel humbled and proud at the same time. Our guys are true heroes in every sense of the word.

Thanks for the ping. Jerry aired an interview he taped with an interpreter called "Faith" while he was there. Great, outstanding, amazing. Loved it.
BTW, this was at least his second trip to deliver phone cards (though I think the last time he delivered them to troops in Germany headed for Iraq, not to the troops in Iraq directly).
