can someone tell me why this moron had to do a "perp walk" through the airport with a towel over her head? Was it her idea or LE's?
My life is not wrapped up in this, but I do hope they charge this spoiled idiot with something, along with fines for costs.

Yes, her poor parents AND FIANCE worried sick FOR NO REASON-she definitely doesn't need to get married, she is way too immature

she found herself broke in Albuquerque She should have reinvented herself as a country singer.

Wilbanks returned Saturday by plane to Atlanta, where she was picked up in a squad car on the tarmac with a towel covering her head to avoid the media. She even lacked the sense to walk home from Albuquerque.

And if you're going to use a towel, at least get one in a neutral color. Why not just put a neon sign on your head?Methinks it's yet another bid for attention. Can't come up with any other reason.

I don't know if it is connected to the towel over her head, but I had heard that she cut her hair very short to disguise her identity. She goes through all of that, and is suprised to learn of all the fuss!

felony charge of false statements ... carries a maximum sentence of 5 years of prison.Every car thief who denies doing the crime makes false statements to the police, yet unless they are repeat offenders they walk with probation. IMO this woman, no threat to society, is obviously deeply troubled and needs help rather than punishment.

Remember, she called her fiance in Georgia before she called 911 in New Mexico. Apparently, she somehow was transferred to the Duluth, GA police chief, Randy Belcher, and told him she was kidnapped.

If I was her fiance, I'd be pi$$ed that she besmirched my name since people always start to believe that the husband/fiance is the murderer. I know I did.
If I was him, there would be NO way I'd marry her now.

So no one should ever be allowed to call off a wedding after the invitations have been sent?
If she staged her own kidnapping (in GA, before she called 9-11 from Abq) only then should she be charged.
It's not illegal to just "disappear."

This is not a girl but a single 32 y/o woman who ran away and then came home when she ran out of money? Did she not work? At her age she should have known what she was doing and just called the wedding of or talked to someone. Her boyfriend was suspected? Her parents were probably sick with grief. I would have just let them know I was ok but would have been too ashamed to go back.

Oh that is just hysterical!

It's not illegal to just "disappear." It's not illegal to fart in a crowded elevator, either.
But it is in poor taste, and will aggravate all who are around you.
To: Squantos
That's all I want : to reimburse the cost. Did she know? Who knows for sure, but unless whens he was in that hotel for three days, she didn't turn the tv on, I'd bet she did.
