Two comments on this foolish, chest-pounding column.
One, the fact that we have more of a presence in the media doesn't mean that we're winning. The fact that conservatives are now able to hear more conservative voices and less biased news does NOT produce victories on the policy level. The Rats control almost everything in this society, including the vast majority of the media. We are winning very little on the policy level. Indeed, the enemy is using its enormous power as ruthlessly as it ever has. Yes, it's in a more defensive posture. But it looks to me like it's still winning ... if we go by cold, hard facts, not vague atmospherics.
Two, even if I'm painting slightly too bleak a picture, Henninger's column is still worthless. The reasons is this: It is never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever good to be complacent in politics.
