NPR Apologizes to Mark Levin
Human Events Online ^ | April 27, 2005

National Public Radio has been caught in an anti-conservative smear and forced to apologize.

On Tuesday, NPR issued a correction and apology to Mark Levin, author of the New York Times bestseller Men in Black: How the Supreme Court is Destroying America. According to Levin's publisher, Regnery, a recent broadcast of NPR's "Day to Day" program falsely accused Levin of advocating violence against judges.

Yesterday's NPR apology stated: "We have a correction [that] concerns a conversation we aired on April 5 about denunciations of the judiciary by certain conservatives in the wake of the Terry Schiavo case. After noting that a U.S. senator had explicitly linked violence against judges to judicial activism, we then turned to a critique of a book by Mark Levin, called Men in Black. We want to make clear that Mr. Levin's book does not discuss either violence against judges or the Terry Schiavo case, and we regret any error or confusion that resulted from our story that day."

Mr. Levin responded by saying, "While I accept NPR's apology and correction, its broadcast was illustrative of a smear campaign launched by the Left to try to silence my criticism of judicial activism. I continue to challenge those who support government by judiciary to debate this issue on the merits."

I hope this motivates anyone who hasn't purchased this book to do so right away and keep it on the best sellers list another month! I makes a great gift too!

No I don't work the publisher or Mark, it's just the nerve of these idiots at NPR! BTW it's cheaper at Sam's Club and always available not hidden in the back of the store or not there at all.

NPR is apologizing only because it's fund raising time.

My Gawd! We continue to fund these Liberals with Our tax monies.

There ain't no bias in the Media. Did PBS, report on Sandy Berger, Hillary and the election funding scandal now brewing, Trips by Nancy, and her people, Daly in Chicago, Mifflin High School, Drew/King hospital, Oil for Food, on and on.

An error of omission is an error.

Fund Raising time on NPR

A little math for those on NPR who tell you that they don't advertise like commercial stations.

NPR = Fund raising every minute (60) of every day (24) for two weeks (14 days) = 20,160 minutes of "give me some money or I'll put a big guilt trip on you.<

Commercial station = 20 commercials per hour (24) for 6 weeks (42 days) = 20,160 minutes of commercials.

No wonder I dislike those guys.

Why do we taxpayers have to pay for this crapola. Defund it and watch it go away. What ever happened to the Republican majority?

I love Mark Levin, mainly because he freely and unabashedly says things that I'd never be able to say :)

It really amazes me that naughty Nancy can give us all hell about Mr. DeLay's trips but neglects to report her own. Hmmm. Don't liberals know their lies CAN be found out? Trouble is, the MSM will never report on THEM. That's why WE have to do it.
