[FR EXCLUSIVE] ANSWER Front Group Holds Pro-ILLEGAL Immigration Rally on Capitol Hill
April 27, 2005 | tgslTakoma

Posted on 04/27/2005 10:44:02 AM PDT by tgslTakoma

Local radio hosts on WMAL Radio in Washington, DC have been up in arms the past few days over a rally being held on Capitol Hill today in support of the invasion of America by illegal aliens.

One of the organizers of the rally is known as Mexicanos Sin Fronteras (MSF).

Per the announcement below, there are two ways to contact MSF - email or via phone.

With a little investigation, we have found that Mexicanos Sin Fronteras apparently shares its office space and telephone with:
Alliance for Global Justice,
Nicaragua Network,
Mexico Solidarity Network,
SOA Watch,
and (surprise, surprise) International ANSWER.

With a little more investigation, we discovered that the main organizer, Mexico Solidarity Network, has three (3) offices in the United States. Their DC office is located at ANSWER's HQ at 1247 E Street, SE. Their San Francisco office is located at the HQ of Global Exchange / Code Pink, at 2017 Mission Street. Their Chicago office is Mexico Solidarity Network's main HQ, located at 4834 N. Springfield.

The Mexico Solidarity Network is a subsidiary of the Alliance for Global Justice, a 501(c)3, which is HQ'd at 1247 E Street, SE, Washington, DC.

This morning, WMAL-AM630 host, Michael Graham, strongly hinted that the radio station was looking at some kind of action (a rally perhaps?). Graham invited his listeners to email him if they agreed that this is an outrage, and that they should let Graham know via email if they are willing to get involved. He said that some hosts and others are discussing some sort of response to the rally of illegals and friends that was held today on Capitol Hill.

Here is the announcement/call to action for the Illegal Alien Support Rally...

National Day of Action for Immigrant Rights!

Wednesday, April 27th, 2005 3:00 PM

Rally in Front of the Capital
In Upper Senate Park (Constitution Ave btw New Jersey and Delaware).
On April 27th, the National Coalition for Dignity and Residency for Immigrants and allies will converge in Washington DC for a national day of action and lobby day. Mexicanos Sin Fronteras, of Virginia, Washington DC, and Maryland, calls on all those who support human rights and dignity for immigrants to participate in this day of action. At 3:00 PM we are organizing a protest in from of the congress of the United States to demand permanent residence for all undocumented immigrants. This is crucial moment to raise our voices and demand recognition of our human rights.

Despite our important role in U.S. culture, society and economy, undocumented immigrants are subject to abuse and exploitation by unscrupulous employers and others who use the threat of deportation to impose illegally low pay, dangerous working conditions, and other abuses. Legal residence for immigrants would improve wages and conditions for all working-class people by granting basic rights to this most exploited sector of the workforce.

Senators from both parties are working on a bi-partisan legalization proposal for the immigrant workers who work hard to contribute to the greatness of this country. However, racist groups in Congress are seeking to stop anything that would favor immigrants. For example, the REAL ID Act, sponsored by House Judiciary Chairman James Sensenbrenner, which passed the House of Representatives in February of 2005, would construct the largest wall yet on Mexican border, make it more difficult for genuine refugees to get asylum, further eliminate due process for immigrants, and impede immigrants from getting driver’s licenses. This legislation fails to address root causes, serving only to further criminalize individuals whose work is an essential part of the United States economy, thereby suppressing wages in sectors that employ immigrants and ma king it more difficult for immigrants to obtain humane working and living conditions.

Mexicanos Sin Fronteras calls for all those who support rights and dignity for immigrants to come to the rally:

3:00 pm in front of the Capitolio in Upper Senate Park (Constitution Ave. between New Jersey and Delaware).

Someone called info about this rally to Glenn Beck this morning. Beck accurately said that if these were people with outstanding warrants, no one would have a problem with swooping down and making arrests, but because these are supposed to be illegal aliens, no one will touch them.

To suggest George Bush is affiliated with ANSWER is kinda ludicrous, don't you think?
What is an answer to the border problem you would like to see the President do that hasn't been done yet?

Estupidos. Upper Senate Park is not in front of the Capitol, and if they try to go there, they will be arrested. I hope someone hands out flyers that say: "Pendejos sin fronteras!"

The problem is that the President hasn't done anything in the first place in regards to our porous borders.

Barbed wire and some land mines would be a start.

It begins at 3pm, according to the announcement. Nothing would surprise me, sadly.

Go to Michael Graham's page on the WMAL website, and click on the "question of the day" link just under Graham's photo. Answer it as you see fit to do. Note: Presidente Arbusto is taking quite a beating among the conservative Michael Graham listeners.

One of the organizers of the rally is known as Mexicanos Sin Fronteras (MSF).

Mexicanos Sin Fronteras = Mexicans Without Borders. That makes you living in a country whose borders are not, and will not, be respected.

Despite our important role in U.S. culture, society and economy (which includes no respect for the rule of law, gangs, crime, the depression of wages), undocumented immigrants are subject to abuse and exploitation by unscrupulous employers and others who use the threat of deportation to impose illegally low pay, dangerous working conditions, and other abuses. Go home where you'll be both safe and appreciated. Legal residence for immigrants would improve wages and conditions for all working-class people by granting basic rights to this most exploited sector of the workforce. No, all it would do is reward your illegal behavior and encourage further illegal immigration.

I'll give Bush credit. He did call the Minutemen "vigilantes" though. So he did get the ball rolling on immigration reform

Not many of the goofy Bush apologists have checked in lately. Hell, maybe they are all leaving the country in advance of their despicable political heros.

No one will repeat what GW has done for Homeland Security because it will take away their griping rights.
I'll admit the borders are not what *I* would like, but to blame GW and suggest he is affiliated with ANSWER and has done NOTHING is pretty odd.
